Im old enough to remember when Millenials stopped eating out because of the economic conditions and every newspaper ran a story on how millenials not going to restaurants was killing the economy.

Many Gen Z Americans think they should get to go for lunch and dinner at a restaurant *every day*, something no generation in any country has ever done, and if they can't afford it it's politicians' fault for crashing the economy somehow. Social media standards cooked us.

One of my members who is studying to be a doctor attended a medical conference abroad last week and when she tried to come back with an active visa she was denied entry and shipped back to Brazil. She messaged me through our workout software to say goodbye.

It’s all by design. Conservatives have become very savvy at leveraging technology, social media propaganda, and supposedly “independent” content creators to convince Black people to ignore race and be colorblind while white conservatives become increasingly race-conscious lol.

.@EDSecMcMahon is correct. DEI is discriminatory by design, antithetical to the purpose of a university, and incompatible with the pursuit of truth. The University of Florida has already acted on that conviction. In December 2025, our Board of Trustees adopted institutional neutrality and embedded an anti-DEI mandate within the presidential contract itself, ensuring that no university funds, public or private, will underwrite DEI at this institution. Dr. Stuart Bell stands with Secretary McMahon, the Board, and the people of Florida on this. He is ready to lead UF forward as a university defined by merit, rigor, and the pursuit of truth.

The mugshot is of Carl Braden, sentenced to 15 years in prison for buying a home in his name for his Black friend, a U.S. veteran, after a real estate broker refused to sell to Negroes. In 1954, he and his wife, Anne Braden, assisted their friends, a Black family, the Wades, who wanted to buy a home in a white neighborhood in Louisville. So Carl and Anne Braden bought the house in their own names and transferred it to the Wade family. The reaction was immediate. Soon after the family moved in, the house was targeted. Shots were fired into the home and a dynamite destroyed the home. Instead of protecting the victims, or pursuing the bombers, authorities went after Carl Braden for inciting violence/civil unrest and charged him with sedition. He was convicted and sentenced to 15 years in prison. He served 8 months before the conviction was later overturned. Carl Braden continued his activism for years after. His wife Anne was close friends with Dr King and mentioned in his Letter from a Birmingham Jail

This might be a hot take but I know someone at meta who makes $400k a year and is quite literally capped at that number for life - likely will never get a promotion strong enough to change that. 9-5 until they’re what, 50? This is not living. No matter the salary.

It’s worth noting that when Jan. 6 happened, the pro-Trump right used dozens of conspiracy theories to try and offload blame from themselves—e.g., claiming it was “antifa,” “feds.” Now, they seem keen to just admit they did it—all of it—and it was good.
