ஒரு முறை பெரியார் விளையாட்டாக மக்களிடம் சொன்னாராம் "சாமி கும்மிட்டால் கூட பாப்பான் போல கும்மிடு" என்று, ஏனென்றால் பாப்பான் தான் அலகு குத்தமாட்டான் , தீ மிதிக்க மாட்டான், மண்டையில தேங்காய் உடைக்க மாட்டான், தீ செட்டி தூக்க மாட்டான், மண் சோறு சாப்பிட மாட்டான் உடம்புக்கு வலிக்காம சாமி கும்மிடுவான் பாப்பான். குல தெய்வ வழிபாட்டில் உள்ள பிரச்சனை என்பது இந்த மூட பழக்கம் வழக்கங்களை அது செய்ய சொல்லும் அதை விட மிக முக்கியமானது ஜாதிய இருக்கத்தை பத்திரமாக காட்டி காப்பதில் அது வல்லமை பெற்றது. @Suriya_offl போன்ற ஆட்கள் இந்த கருத்தை சுய விமர்சனம் செய்து கொள்ள வேண்டும்... மதம் மனிதனை மிருகம் ஆக்கும், அதுவும் ஹிந்து மதம் சொல்லவே வேண்டாம்.
