@TayeOlusola Talent gives you the opportunity to get connections that'll help project you so I think it'll be difficult to survive in the industry with just the talent cos you need the connections for visibility.

Toolz owned The Juice so well that once she left, trying to recreate it was always going to feel forced.
Some shows are so closely tied to their hosts that you’re better off starting a new one than trying to replicate the old magic.
The Timaya episode. Olamide. 2Baba across two seasons. D’banj. Don Jazzy.
Toolz got the juice.
Good times indeed.

Personally, I lost interest in Trending on HipTv the moment Nancy Isime left the show

My brother! Them think say i dey lie when I tell them.
@OfficialWaje's "I Wish" was a leak. We promote shege for the single we released and nothing much happened. I wish was leaked and boom.
@Yung6ix was planning to drop a single with Korede Bello... we must have done like 20 artworks. Marketing was ready. "No favours" that he dropped to water the ground was moving. "Loving You" didnt do what we hoped.
@WANDECOAL dropped "Ballers" and "Iskaba" same day. Shout out @PeediPicasso and team. We even shot "Ballers" video. We all know about Iskaba. Ballers still a jam though.
The work of the artist is to make and put out music. Build your catalogue. Always put your best foot forward musically and with releases instead of trying to make a hit song. And when a song "blows", that song will carry new audiences and listeners to your existing work. Thats how you build your community!
I don talk this thing tire but artist think say I dey lie for them.

As an artiste, just keep dropping music, you will never know which song will be the next big song tha will change your life.

This picture reminds me of one of my roommates in the hostel back in the day. He is a Tiv indigene—the first I’ve ever known.
After our lectures, he told me he would prepare "swallow" for us to eat. I was happy because I didn't have the strength to cook after such long classes. When we got back to the room, he made eba and dished out pieces of meat onto a separate plate. I was about to go and wash my clothes, thinking he was still preparing the soup, only for him to tell me, "Food don ready." I said okay and followed him to his corner.
Lo and behold, eba and meat were all this guy had prepared for us to eat! I asked him what kind of food this was, and he said it is a delicacy from his place. After two boluses of this dish, I couldn't continue.
I appreciated him, but I ended up making spaghetti for myself. 😂
