Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it. Thank you for allowing me to live free in this country. @USArmy @USMC @usairforce

WTA Rome 🇮🇹 Noemi Basiletti +260 I’ll take another stab on an Italian on home soil. Ajla comes through qualifying as a lucky loser and doesn’t even enjoy playing on clay. It’s not her preferred surface and this will be another showing of how Australians and clay don’t mix.

The 34yo dad spending a morning out with his wife and toddler thinks he’s the luckiest guy in the world. The 34yo guy who hung out until 2am last night with a Zoomer thinks he’s the luckiest in the world. The 34yo guy who lives in the country, hunts/fishes whenever he wants, and has an 90k truck thinks he’s the luckiest guy in the world. They’re all correct.

How do people in the suburbs genuinely look forward to Friday night on the couch, Saturday morning at Costco, and call that a weekend? Like you really moved out of the city just to LARP as your parents at 34?

NEW: 13-year-old Australian boy swims for four hours in cold and dangerous waters to save his mom and siblings who were swept into the ocean, says God is who got him to shore. The family was on kayaks & paddleboards when they were swept about 2.5 miles out to sea. After a conversation with his mother, Austin Appelbee decided he would swim back to shore to find help. Appelbee says he prayed throughout the four-hour swim and told God he would get baptized if he made it out alive. "I don't think it was actually me [swimming]... It was God the whole time. I kept on praying, kept on praying. I said to God, 'I'll get baptized.'" "The waves are massive, and I have no life jacket on… I just kept thinking 'just keep swimming, just keep swimming,'" he said. "And then I finally made it to shore, and I hit the bottom of the beach, and I just collapsed." Appelbee says when he got to shore, he had to sprint for about a mile to find help. According to AP, the family drifted 9 miles from Quindalup and spent 10 hours in the water. When he reached the shore, Appelbee alerted authorities, who then sent out a helicopter to find his mom, 12-year-old brother, and 8-year-old sister. Austin's mother, Joanne Appelbee, said one of the hardest decisions of her life was sending her son to shore. "One of the hardest decisions I ever had to make was to say to Austin: 'Try and get to shore and get some help. This could get really serious really quickly,'" she said. What a remarkable kid. @ninjaga20 Because when they play each other it’s awesome. Some of, if not, the best tennis you will ever watch in your life. Just say you don’t like watching all time greats.

I’m requesting a sit down meeting this week @AcrisureStadium I was erroneously thrown out of the game (Top 5 ever) last night for standing up a few times during the game I obliged & sat down when I was asked. Your team mistakenly followed orders from a guy cursing out kids.

One year ago @dasilvashadow accidentally outed me on Twitter because my real name was my username. I went from 0 → 38,000 followers. Met some incredible people. Learned a lot. Trolled a lot. But I have something to admit..... Im an absolute mess. You never hear this part from people who look like they are “on top,” so I’ll say it. This year I went through extreme relationship issues. I invested into many projects that went to $0. Leveraged Crypto is the Devil. My dog died. My businesses suffered. My 2+ Year IRS audit was finalized, I owe an ungodly amount. I spent two months out of the gym with what turned out to be a pinched nerve that a simple steroid fixed. That MRI also uncovered a 2-inch mass on my thyroid. Two ultrasounds, a Biopsy ..... Cancer The good news? It’s one of the most survivable cancers. The bad news? My throat is getting cut open and my thyroid is coming out. Why share this? Because social media is hard. Everyone compares themselves to people who look like they have it all figured out. The truth is most people you admire are either Dealing with problems you can’t see, living paycheck to paycheck or both. You don’t want to be someone else just because their life looks cool online. Most of the time, that “cool life” is just an escape from reality. What you actually want is to become a better version of yourself. Stop doing the things that move you backward. Start doing the things that move you forward. So don’t worry about me. Worry about you. I scaled public visibility while my private life was on fire no downtime, expected to be up, fixing everyone else problems. I don't want sympathy I want you to understand SOCIAL MEDIA IS NOT REAL LIFE. Because of Twitter I helped more people this year than in all years combined. Its what carried me through all the shit I have had to navigate. Thank you Twitter!

With this dumb, silly tweet getting so much attention, let's do some good with it. Since soup is referenced, please consider a donation to Operation Santa Claus. This endeavor helps provide holiday meals for families in need. Thank you, Adam Thielen. osc.triblive.com
