To the London Taxi Trade
Over the past 10–15 years, platforms have entered the trade, grown through driver support, and then followed a similar path. The trade has built every platform that’s come into this industry.
And every time, the same thing happens — it grows, it shifts, and the trade is left without a stake in what it helped create.
That’s not a coincidence — it’s a structural issue. And it only changes when the structure changes.
The world’s most recognised taxi trade still does not have a structure of its own.
Taxi Now is being built with that in mind from the outset — not as a campaign, and not as a slogan, but as a platform where the structure itself is designed to hold its position long term.
---
Articles of Association
• No private hire — permanently written into the company structure
• No commission — no percentage taken from the fare, no deductions, and no reduction of driver earnings through any system or payment method
• 95% driver voting threshold for any fundamental change
• Structural provisions preventing the platform from being sold away from the trade
• Defined driver stake and voting rights within the company
• No external control over how the platform operates or develops
---
Platform Design
• Geo-fencing aligned with licensed areas
• Respect for badge boundaries and operating zones
• No system that overrides or bypasses licensing structure
---
This is not a pricing model. It is a structural position.
It does not rely on trust, promises, or future decisions — it is written into how the company is formed. There are no restrictions on who can use the platform, and no dependency on outside interests.
It will take time to build properly. If the trade is going to build something again, it has to be built in a way that holds its position — not something that changes once it reaches scale.
That is the difference.

@SkyNews @LTDAForum Far too many holes in this, pedestrian walk outs will constantly stop the car. Multi lane , Hyde park corner etc the car won’t move. Narrow streets car can’t give way or flash someone through. And vandalism will be rife and god forbid someone takes a shit or is sick in one,

I queued up for over an hour tonight to get the last ever £3 fish supper from the cheapest chippy in the UK before the prices go up
Stan and his family have been feeding the local community for over 20 years, they charge £3 for haddock and chips, and a sauce, under a third of the UK average price of £10.
The shop is in one of the most deprived areas of the town, where many struggle to put food on the table
His prices mean people eat a meal at a price they can afford
The price of fish has risen dramatically over the last few weeks going from around £1.50 per kilo to £3.70
Mathews chippy prides itself on serving the community they supply me for FREE all my meals I provide to the homeless in my town they are a credit to the community and a jewel in our crown they put the great into Grimsby but they're too struggling with the costs of everything rising
Tonight saw me served the last ever £3 fish supper before prices rise on Tuesday to £3.50, please show me a meal that can match this in the UK for £3.50 right on your doorstep in the heart of your community

The construction companies built the buildings and in doing so wreck the roads around the site with their trucks and the City of London let them do it.
