@YusufAsunmogejo "Errors in our biology" Astagfirullah! I can't belive you mistakenly said this? What way can we perfect our perfect creation. As humans we still have no idea where the soul is and yet this.

The CS to this post is intriguing. People were quick to bash the young genius’s research on human aging because they think he is trying to outsmart death. However, they are missing the point of what he is really doing. He is not trying to keep a person alive for centuries in a state of decay. The real deal is about the healthspan. He wants to use AI and physics to find the errors in our biology so we can stay strong and functional until the very end —the end that will never change because Death is the only constant that cannot be substituted. He is looking for a way to let people enjoy their lives without the slow and painful breakdown that comes with old age. He should be celebrated for trying to push the boundaries of knowledge instead.
Science girl@sciencegirl

A teenage prodigy in quantum physics is aiming to tackle one of science’s biggest challenges: human aging. Laurent Simons earned his PhD in quantum physics from the University of Antwerp at just 15. Rather than slowing down, he has already begun a second doctorate, this time focusing on medical science and artificial intelligence. His long-term ambition is to better understand aging and disease, with the hope of helping extend healthy human lifespan. He has described death as a complex “puzzle,” made up of many interconnected pieces across biology, physics, and engineering. His strategy is to study these layers together, using AI to analyze biological systems and identify patterns that would be difficult to detect otherwise. Simons’ academic journey has been unusually fast. He completed high school by age 8, finished a bachelor’s degree at 12, and went on to earn both a master’s and PhD in quantum physics years ahead of typical timelines. His doctoral work explored advanced topics like Bose–Einstein condensates, where atoms behave as a single quantum system at extremely low temperatures. Although highly theoretical, this research underpins technologies such as quantum computing and precision measurement. Now, his focus is shifting toward biology and medicine. In AI-driven healthcare, researchers are already using machine learning to improve early disease detection, model protein structures, and accelerate drug development. In the field of aging, scientists are investigating ways to reduce cellular damage, eliminate dysfunctional cells, and better understand how the body changes over time. However, experts stress that “solving aging” is extraordinarily complex. While lifespan extension has been achieved in simple organisms, applying those findings to humans remains a major scientific hurdle. Simons himself acknowledges that meaningful progress could take decades. Even so, his path reflects a broader trend in science—where breakthroughs are increasingly happening at the intersection of disciplines, and younger researchers are setting ambitious, long-term goals. Learn more: "15-year-old genius sets his sights on solving human immortality." Brighter Side.

Dear Hausa community, I want to appeal that we reconsider some of the names we give our newborn babies 😭 I met someone I knew from secondary school at the immigration office while renewing my passport. We greeted each other and I asked if he was there for his own passport. He said no, it was for his wife and their child. I was surprised because I didn’t even know he was married. He told me he got married and already has a 2 year old son. He pointed at the boy running around, very cute kid. I said, ‘Hey, come here,’ but the boy ignored me. Then the father laughed and said, ‘BALA, come here,’ and the boy ran straight to us. I was shocked 😲 Why would you name your child Bala in 2026?? Isn’t that name too strong for a baby? In my mind, anyone named Bala should be at least 40+ but this guy named his toddler Bala 😭🤦🏾‍♂️ I even started feeling bad for the toddler because I just know when he grow up, his friends in school will tease him for that name😭🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

I see a lot of people dragging the well deserved appointment of this Dr Fatima Zuntu @drfatima84 by FG. It baffles me to see that u guys have no idea what it takes to obtain MBBS degree especially in one of the best medical college like UNIMAID during the peak of insurgency, not only that but proceeded to have MPH as well as with over 10 years progressive experience (post graduation) in medical field. As a woman with lots of life commitments she put all that together to reach this level, I think she deserves her flowers. Y’all should not utter negative/provocative comments pls, pay attention on yourselves & work on your CVs & professional development. Aim to be like her if you can, if you cannot then pray for her, if you cannot do that then at least do not hate her achievements.

This message is to @Arsenal . I have been an Arsenal fan for more than 10yrs, I have watched different sets of players come and go, I have seen you evolve from a club that every team wanted to play with to a club teams are scared of playing with. For years I have cried and cried, and sincerely hope for a day you’ll make me genuinely happy. For more than 10yrs I have never had any reason to be genuinely happy, is really depressing, frustrating and disappointing. I have cried this evening, and I’m currently sad typing this, and I don’t know what I’ll do if we finish this season without lifting a single trophy, but one thing is for sure, I will definitely be depressed. I have tried to leave but I can’t, is very difficult to fall out of love with something you genuinely fell in love with, I’m stuck with you for life and is exhausting watching you hurt me like this. Please, think of the lives you’ll ruin if you don’t lift a single trophy this season. Taser 💔

1. We are not a well coached team. We lose the second ball a lot and always still jittery in important games despite 7 years of Mikel Arteta as a manager. 2. Arsenal should compensate Bayer Leverkusen and cancel the permanent deal they want to make for Hincapie. 3. Gabriel is a huge disappointment. Khusanov is just 22 years old. Guehi came in from Crystal Palace in January and both are more composed than you today. 4. Odegaard doesn’t offer nothing as captain and AM 5. Havertz is a useless striker and even more useless midfielder. Cut your losses and sell off. 6. Sell Madueke this summer before his value tank entirely. He’s useless and will never improve. 6. Mosquera is not a RB. Play him at CB or don’t play him at all. 7. We still don’t have a defensive midfielder. Cherki, Bernardo Silva and co just strolling through our midfield. 8. Martinelli and Trossard came in to do nothing. Nothing always! 8. Bring in Luis Enrique if we don’t win the league or UCL. Awful night!

East African nations have set very ambitious power goals with only 4 years to go for most of them. Ethiopia set sight on 14,000 MW of power from the current 9,760MW by 2030. Tanzania targets 70,000MW from her current 4,450 by 2050 amongst a $12.9 billion investment in power sector. Kenya targets of 5,950MW by 2030 + 10,000MW from a future nuclear plant. Currently has 3,840MW. Uganda is still sitting on her long term goal of 52,000MW by 2040 from 2,100MW. Meanwhile Rwanda is targeting 1,066MW by 2034 for her small 14 million citizens. South Sudan and Burundi both below 350MW by 2030.

Some historians argue that General Sani Abacha managed Nigeria’s economy more effectively than any civilian government since 1979, although this remains debated. During his rule (1993–1998), Nigeria’s foreign reserves increased sharply by nearly 2,000%, from about $494 million to $9.6 billion. At the same time, the country’s external debt fell from $36 billion to $27 billion. Inflation also dropped significantly, from about 54% to around 8.5%. The Kano-born head of state also stopped some of the privatisation policies started by General Ibrahim Babangida and spent more on infrastructure and development than on regular government expenses. These changes happened when oil prices were relatively low, averaging about $15 per barrel. In fact, in February 2014, President Goodluck Jonathan honoured Abacha as one of the 100 most astounding individuals who contributed to the country’s existence with a Centenary Award titled "Outstanding Promoters of Unity, Patriotism and National Development." The award was part of Nigeria's 100-year celebration of its amalgamation. #HistoryVille

This is what you people don’t get. When we say the EPL is the best league in the world, we’re talking about the competitiveness and overall attractiveness of the league not just standout teams. The competitiveness is what makes the EPL what it is. English teams might struggle in Europe, but within the league, nobody compromises. Chelsea stopped Spurs from winning the league in 2016 for no reason other than rivalry handing Leicester the title. A team fighting relegation will battle for a draw like it’s a cup final. Burnley used to frustrate top teams for fun, Luton came into the league fighting like every game was life or death. There are no “easy games.” Meanwhile, in other leagues, teams adjust schedules or priorities to help clubs perform better in Europe. In the EPL, it’s simple hold that. Every team is on its own. The league literally thrives on hate-watching. Chelsea fans were hate-watching Brighton at a point. Everton fans treat Liverpool games like a personal mission. Arsenal fans will sit through a full Spurs game just to pray on their downfall. Imagine Barcelona fans hate watching Eibar it just doesn’t hit the same. In other leagues, teams play football. In the EPL, teams play war. 20th place can ruin 1st place’s season and half the country will be watching live to celebrate it. That chaos, rivalry, and pure shithousery is exactly why it’s the best league in the world.

We say the Premier League is the best league in the world but why can't we ever build teams close to the quality of Bayern, Madrid, PSG or Barcelona?

Dear Italy, Your PM just defended Pope and lost an ally in Washington — the Commander in Grief, yet the most 'powerfool'man on earth. We'd like to apply for the vacancy. Our qualifications: 7,000 years of civilization, a shared love of poetry, architecture, and food that takes longer to prepare than Trump's attention span. The only thing Iran and Italy have ever fought over is who invented ice cream. Faloodeh came first. Gelato came louder. We've been in a 'cold' war over this for 2,000 years.

My Tinubu has done this to the good people of Arewa. Abuja–Kaduna Highway Nears Completion: 118km Concrete Section Hits 95% with Solar Lighting. The 118km reinforced concrete pavement section of the Abuja–Kaduna road project is now 95% completed and fully equipped with solar street lighting. Built to the same durable standard as the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, this phase of the project is valued at ₦252 billion, with over 80% of the cost already covered under the leadership of President Tinubu. The section is scheduled for full completion by the first week of May 2026. Work is also progressing steadily on the remaining 164km stretch in Kaduna State, which is being constructed using the same reinforced concrete pavement standard. This phase is valued at ₦502 billion, with 70% of the funding already disbursed. The entire Abuja–Kaduna road project is on track for full completion by December 2026, and will feature comprehensive solar lighting throughout. This milestone reflects a strong commitment to delivering durable road infrastructure and improving connectivity across the region.

It's not a global crises for an oil producing country, local refineries would be supplied with local currency in a "Sane" country. Don't protect the Federal Government. If the government have the best interest of its citizens at, heart they should first supply local refineries and in local currency. And then consider exports.
