@RogerHelmerMEP We are responsible for all global warming since 1950, primarily from our greenhouse gas emissions. More importantly, 'business as usual' takes us far outside the range of climate to which human civilisation is adapted. This is reckless & irresponsible. We must enact mitigation.

One of the things you learn as a scientist is the ability to look at a plot and think, "that just doesn't look right." That's the feeling I got when I saw this plot that Lomborg is currently pushing.

The "Global Warmer" exposes its hypocrisy by complaining about rising CO2, while their graph shows no temperature rise where CO2 dramatically rises. They must have left for happy-hour early that day.
The Global Warmer🔥🌏 🔥@TheGlobalWarmer

Climate deniers keep posting ice-age graphs as if they weaken the case for CO2. They do the opposite. If tiny orbital changes can help flip the planet when amplified by feedbacks, that’s evidence of a high-gain climate system — not a low-sensitivity one. CO2 is part of the amplifier stack.

Andrew still doesn't get it. We will continue (over the long term) to observe warming records as we continue to thaw out from the Little Ice Age. In about another 100 years or so, we will again enter another global cooling trend - unfortunately.

New study finds the current heat wave in the West would be "virtually impossible" without human-caused climate pollution. We're on the verge of breaking an all-time March heat record for the US today/tmrw. cnn.com/2026/03/20/wea…

@wendelltalks We have a very simple answer: These claims are worthless. There was a big bang but no-one knows if that was the beginning of the universe. We have no reason to believe the universe was caused by anything at all, much less a mystical being.

@ChrisGPackham @TheDisproof @Helen_Whately When anyone says “net zero” is too expensive, ask them “compared to what?”. Because “do nothing” is more expensive and “adaptation” will continue forever. Both are totally uncosted. And those saying net zero is too expensive won’t fund adaptation either. #bbcqt

I've stood at the bedsides of dying people. Not once has anyone reached for their bank account or their list of accomplishments. In that moment, there is only one name that brings peace, only one presence that satisfies. I've seen it every single time. Only Jesus.

@JustinTola79240 @StephenCMeyer The fine tuning argument purports to be about probabilities. There is a 100% probability that we find ourselves in a universe that is conducive to our existence. That tells you absolutely nothing about why the universe is the way it is, or the probability of it being that way.

@icarus62 @StephenCMeyer I suppose it’s true that we might have beaten 1 x 10 to the 100k power odds, but it doesn’t follow that it isn’t in order that we may be here, either.

While I appreciate the attempts to find common ground with the old earthers out there, the Bible says it was evening and morning for each day to show us that this is a 24 hour period. Not figurative, but literal. Genesis is a historical narrative. It’s important that as Christians we choose to believe God’s word.

@blueicehiggins Indeed. The only reason we're in an ice age at all, with permanent ice sheets at high latitudes of both hemispheres, is that atmospheric CO₂ fell from at least 1000ppm 50 million years ago to below 300ppm.

@BiblicalBeauty Theists spend vast amounts of time and energy trying to invent reasons why their god is completely inevident and why all we ever see in the universe are natural phenomena. The answer is glaringly obvious: Gods are imaginary!

@BiblicalBeauty This is obviously nonsense. A universe governed by unthinking physical properties and forces is *exactly* what you'd expect as an atheist, but not at all what you'd expect as a theist. As a theist you'd expect to see evidence of the loving, caring god you worship. There is none.

Oxford professor John Lennox in an interview with Jordan Peterson in 2023 explained his view that there is no conflict between science and Christianity: "I never saw the tension between Christianity and science because very early on as a teenager I was introduced to the writings of a scientist who was a Christian who drew my attention to something Alfred North Whitehead wrote, and it was really put in much simpler language by C.S. Lewis when he wrote 'Men became scientific because they expected law in nature, and they expected law in nature because they believed in a Lawgiver.' And so, very early on, and I was fascinated by the idea, that actually modern science is a legacy of the biblical worldview, and therefore, it's no accident that the pioneers—Galileo, Kepler, Newton, Maxwell, and so on—were believers in God. And as you pointed out, it underpins the tradition that lies behind the great universities of the world that the doctrine of Creation was actually the belief, the underlying presupposition, that allowed people to do science. So I've come over my life to the conclusion that science and the biblical worldview sit very comfortably together, but it's science and atheism that do not sit comfortably together."
