Trump: One of the biggest Driving Forces in the Future for Jobs, are Data Centers. They are big, strong, bold, and Money Machines for the State in which they are built. Governor Kathy Hochul, for political reasons, has terminated all Data Centers being built, or to be built, in New York State. These Companies are now being sought in Alabama, Florida, Texas, Arizona, and many other States. Both the Taxes and the Jobs amount to LIQUID GOLD! New York State has made a terrible decision. All of this Income, and other Benefits, will be going to Red States, and some Blue, where Data Centers are sought as Cash Cows, with Lower Taxes and Record Setting Jobs. They must pay for their own Water and Power, and any leftover goes back to the State and local Community. Data Centers are tremendous WINS for the States and Communities that are lucky enough to get them. New York should change its Policy, IMMEDIATELY.

$NBIS down while $MU is up. The Neo-cloud opportunity is over They were a temporary solution for hyper scalers to ramp up compute but it makes way more sense for them to build their own. So there will still be neoclouds but their market opportunity (and multiples) will be way lower than everyone got hyped about.

$NBIS holding the bottom of the green zone but it looks weak. The arrows are the 2 outcomes. Either we bounce here back up to the EMAs around $210, or we lose $200 and drop to the $180s...

When and how I’ll buy $NBIS again $150 = 2% position $120 = add 2% $100 = add 2% For those of you wondering I made it an 8% position at ~$70 and sold at ~$230 2 weeks ago. So yes I have the ability to change my mind 😉

NEW YORK TO ENACT THE FIRST STATEWIDE DATA CENTER MORATORIUM IN THE U.S., PER NYT. Gov. Kathy Hochul will pause approvals for new hyperscale data centers using 50MW+ of power for one year while the state studies energy, water and environmental impacts. The order takes effect immediately, but does not affect projects that already have required permits. Hospitals, universities and back-office financial services are not expected to be impacted.

🚨 $NBIS is preparing its first data center in India. Just two hours ago, the company posted two on-site job openings in Hyderabad, both related to new data center launches. Asia, here we go. I first discussed this possibility in June last year, after The Economic Times reported that India-based data center companies were looking to attract neocloud firms to the country. h/t @David917S for flagging this.
