@SakurasCardShop @HailSushi2204 Are manifests an option at that volume?
English

@HailSushi2204 Oh I don’t blame usps at all lol I’m in a somewhat small city and the back dock is fulllll. I would not sit there scanning all the packages. There’s a very famous plushy seller here too and they really drop off some packages🫠🫠 i thought I dropped packages off… lol
English

Show of hands here who has ordered from me in the past and usps didn’t scan the package until either in your state or out for delivery…
I better see 5000+ hands raised😮💨
I actually watched the process unfold today when I went to usps. She asked me if they were ground or priority and literally slapped a piece of paper on it and loaded it onto the truck. Not a single one got scanned.

I’m beyond hyped for the new @fabtcg gem packs dropping next month. Players have been clamoring for these and LSS came through in a big way. Combined with Armory Decks, I’m very excited to see where we go in 2025.

I mean it’s ONE banana, Michael. What could it cost? 6.2 million dollars?

THIS FRIDAY!!!
I am irrationally excited about hosting a @fabtcg 5th anniversary celebration event, so we’re doing it big. Seats are limited so reservations are highly recommended.
Shout out to @james_white for making the best damn game in the world. :)

@JustinVizaro @NCBlake @x_xoanon @DynamoNestico By and large LGSs do not and cannot operate like tradition retail stores. Margins are bad (< 25%) and online competition is fierce. As such, multiple streams of revenue are required to pay the bills and event hosting is one of the most logical options, but it must make a profit.
English

@NCBlake @x_xoanon @ichooseyoudude @DynamoNestico The owner should be depending on people buying game related merchandise to stay open and pay the bills, not on people spending money to lease space.
English

@JustinVizaro @DynamoNestico McDonald’s is in the food business, not the fun business. Generally speaking LGSs are the inverse of that; food is provided as an amenity and is not a core driver of revenue (ball pit) and the core driver of business is fun (hamburgers).
English

@ichooseyoudude @DynamoNestico Mickey’s would suddenly do what, exactly?
If they remove the ball pit, they don’t go out of business. That’s the point. They NEVER need to consider charging for the ball pit.
English

@JustinVizaro @DynamoNestico If the majority of people using the ball pit were non-paying customers things would change rapidly.
English

@DynamoNestico I agree. It’s like you need to have a compelling retail business to take advantage of the foot traffic you gain from providing a place for people to go.
Mickey’s doesn’t force kids to buy a happy meal to use the ball pit. They just have a burger business and also a play area.

@ManSantFaB I had a revelation last night that one of the things people love about TCGs is that it gives them a thing to debate and complain about that feels lower stakes than the big things that ail us as people, and now I think I'm just completely okay with dooming. Enjoy it!
