@LilithDatura yeah that's concerning... I've done a bunch of work with persona vectors and yeah you can control llm/agent behavior in very subtle ways with geometry in the weights and if you do it at the calculation level, rather than the weights, it would be harder to detect

Is everybody ready for the poisoning the geometry thing? 📐. They can manipulate the weights, the data points, the things we use for our entire frame of reference, not just local models. Am I being heard?

The LLM model weights is completely pointless for people setting up local models, or a DIY, if they can be stolen. Although I’m sure this is minimal and would require quite the daisy chain of attack vectors, it is not impossible. Primarily this would be a concern for people that want an air gapped model, I wouldn’t necessarily worry about open, sourced weights, unless you have modified them and put a lot of work into it. People that are bragging about setting up local models are not doing their due diligence, depending on what they are trying to protect. What I see here is a lot of hype and people not thinking things through, and if things progressed as they think they will in the future, they will have to completely start from scratch.

i passed out exhausted with 30 minutes left to the auction grateful for the opportunity to perform my strange art form for an audience that appreciates it, and woke up to find a bidding war between two well-respected digital art collectors had more than quadrupled it
thank you to @Jediwolf for both giving the piece a home within a collection of groundbreaking work throughout the history of AI art and for helping to propagate and contextualize the work, to all of the other bidders, and to everyone who appreciates my art. it is nice to sell work, of course, but most of all to feel understood; i create through this pseudonym to express a facet of myself that can only be transmitted this way, a facet that i have been judged for and told to tame my entire life, and i could not be more blessed to have somehow found an audience who understands and cherishes it

Each one brings billions to local economies. The people who say they want American jobs are trying to block the biggest job creation engine since the interstate highway system.

She’s complaining that free people are making choices without her permission.
Nobody voted for smartphones, streaming, or the internet either. People chose them voluntarily. That’s how markets work.
The irony is that the alternative she’s implying is actual authoritarianism: politicians deciding what can exist, what gets built, and forcing everyone to pay for it whether they want it or not.
So this isn’t about protecting democracy or choice. It’s frustration that she isn’t the one controlling other people’s choices.
