Out and about in Wallasey today doing outreach on digital ID. Every single person, bar one, is against digital ID. Many have written to their MP @angelaeagle but she is sadly still in favour. The public’s dissatisfaction and frustration is apparent. @Togetherdec #notodigitalID

🚨 Today, the Government will try to pass eye-watering internet restrictions from ID checks, to browsing time limits and even curfews "to protect children" - but they actually affect every single one of us. I explain why for @Telegraph today ⬇️ telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/04/1…

Did you hear about the governments plans to introduce Digital ID? Remember how it started, as a way of tackling illegal immigration, then within a matter of weeks became the answer to everything from buying a drink in a pub to filing company accounts. Public backlash was immediate, with protests in Liverpool outside the Labour party Conference and elsewhere, and a petition to the government that received almost 3 million signatures. So what’s the big deal, I hear people say? We already have lots of types of ID, what’s one more? The national digital ID is a complex way that personal data about us as individuals, is gathered from across different platforms and service providers, combined together and held in one central database by the British government. It has been designed specifically to give them the power and the means to monitor, manage, manipulate and control our behaviour. The Tony Blair  Institute Reports show that it can rapidly grow to cover every aspect of life. It can be programmed to include everything from integrating biometric data to encouraging people to snoop on their neighbours in exchange for social credits. The mission creep has already started with financial penalties for those who do not comply. The new government OneLogin is a clear example of how different cohorts of society can be targeted and forced to comply. Companies Directors have been given no choice, comply or suffer severe consequences for their businesses. We must fight back. Join us at the 4 nations rallies, in Cardiff, London, Edinburgh and Belfast on Saturday the 25th April. I will be speaking in Cardiff outside the Senedd, do you trustthe government with this kind of power? I don’t. We must insist on a Bill of Rights to protect our freedoms from forces driving technocratic control. We can do this if we push together. See you there.    @ideallythissss #notodigitalid #together  @Togetherdec

Imagine this for a second. Everywhere you go, everything you do there’s a digital version of you quietly following along. Not just your name or your date of birth, but your habits, your movements, what you buy, where you travel, even who you spend time with. Now, we’re being told it’s a good idea to bundle all of that into a single digital ID. Sounds convenient, right? But convenience has a cost and it’s usually paid in control. Think of a digital ID like putting all your keys your house key, your car key, your office key onto one single keycard. Lose it, and you’re locked out of everything. But worse than losing it is someone else getting hold of it. One breach, one hack, one system failure… and suddenly your entire identity isn’t just expose it’s vulnerable. Now imagine that system isn’t just used to prove who you are, but also to decide what you can do. Maybe it starts small. You need it to access services, to travel, to work. Fair enough. But over time, it can quietly become a gatekeeper. If something goes wrong an error, a disagreement, even a false flag you could find yourself locked out of basic parts of life, with no easy way to fix it. And here’s the thing people don’t always realise: once a system like that is built, it doesn’t stay limited. It expands. New features get added. New rules come in. What starts as “optional” can quickly become unavoidable. It’s not about being paranoid it’s about understanding human systems. Power tends to grow, not shrink. In everyday terms, scrapping digital ID isn’t about rejecting technology. It’s about keeping balance. It’s about making sure no single system has too much control over who you are and what you’re allowed to do. Because your identity isn’t just data. It’s yours. And once you hand over the keys completely, it’s very hard to get them back. @RWTaylors Scrap Digital ID Sat 25 April 2pm The Senedd Cardiff And London Belfast Edinburgh #notodigitalid #together

The government digital ID “consultation” is here, deadline 5 May: …rn-digital-government.campaign.gov.uk/digital-id-con… Our guide to responding is here: togetherdeclaration.org/guide-to-the-g… It’s reasonable to doubt this is a consultation in any meaningful way. Even so, it’s important to share your opinion. If people stay silent, the government might point to the lack of responses as “proof” that the public supports it – so it’s better to speak up and make your view heard.

We're sitting on a goldmine! North Sea oil hits record high. So why won't Ed Miliband drop his Net Zero madness and back new drilling to give Britain a boost? The Government has banned new drilling and extended 'windfall' levies, meaning fossil-fuel firms pay taxes of 78 per cent on profits. Experts believe that rolling back windfall taxes would revive the industry, resulting in jobs, growth and extra annual tax revenues of £25billion Even before the recent price surge, industry body Offshore Energies UK estimated that North Sea oil and gas was worth up to £385billion to the UK economy. Stop Net Zero madness! NotoNetZero.uk

Digital ID isn’t dead, hasn’t been abandoned and will rule your life. Exactly as defined by the UN Agenda 2030 sustainable development goal 16.9. Prepare yourself for a permissions based society under state control. Oh it wont be mandatory, just like the Vaccine passport 🤡

The Free Speech Union
The Free Speech Union@SpeechUnion·
The Free Speech Union’s latest investigative briefing reveals that ALL FIVE members of the Government’s working group tasked with defining “Islamophobia” — now rebranded as “anti-Muslim hostility” — have troubling links to Islamist organisations. These include the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) and Muslim Engagement and Development (MEND), which successive governments since 2009 have refused to engage with due to their extreme views. Baroness Gohir even tweeted in support of Hamas in 2014. Another member stood for the far-left, Islamist-supporting Respect Party. In a free society, no religion should enjoy greater protection than others — nor be shielded from legitimate criticism and challenge. Parliament abolished blasphemy laws in 2008. This Government risks reviving them for Islam alone, via the back door. This group was stacked with members already sympathetic to such a definition. With the Government yet to appoint a new Islamophobia tsar, there is deep cause for concern. Watch @Katie_Lam_MP’s video below 👇
Katie Lam@Katie_Lam_MP

The Government's new ‘anti-Muslim hostility’ definition will make it harder to talk about Islamist extremism, FGM, and the grooming gangs. They’d rather restrict our right to criticise than deal with these problems head-on.  It’s putting us all in danger.

Although ID Austria and GOV.UK One Login differ in areas of public delivery, the UK system would still be ripe for similar attacks by bad actors. What's potentially coming down the pipeline for the UK public is worrying indeed. biometricupdate.com/202604/scammer…

We’re in massive trouble, brought forward by the war on Iran. Where the US is mostly self sufficient the UK is utterly exposed. the Uniparty and its slavish net zero mania is the catalyst for disaster. ▪️By the end of April / May everything transported will begin to increase in price. Businesses will pass on costs or cut back with redundancies first. And don’t look to the Bank of England to help. It’s only ‘help’ will hurt more! ▪️By June/July / August. Grocery inflation will spike, Meat, salad, imported food all rise. Energy bills could be heading back towards £2,000 What that means is, many of those on benefits will be better off than Middle income families, now seriously struggling, with little or no disposable income. The knock on effect is that all consumer industries will be affected. They will start making bigger cuts. House moving could stall almost completely, DIY and all services are affected. Hospitality and travel particularly affected, with spikes in closures and redundancies. Every industry not funded by tax payer public money will be shrinking. ▪️September (if it drags on) Full energy crisis territory. Oil potentially $170–$200 and the Government will be forced to intervene but only those on benefits will receive support. This isn’t a temporary spike. It’s a chain reaction, the UK has little resilience to cope with prolonged interference with its ‘just in time’ energy economy. The war hasn’t “caused” the problem. It’s exposed it and accelerated it. The problem has always been closer to home and it’s now compounded by government policies.
