Under Michael Carrick, he has 0 goals and 0 assists. (but somehow, the AFCON was his problem and not Carrick) Under Ruben Amorim, Bryan Mbeumo had 7 goals and 2 assists. He provided one assist for Cameron in the AFCON. Under Michael Carrick, he has 2 goals and 1 assist. (Somehow, the Afcon also affected his performance and not Carrick) Also, Under Ruben Amorim, Matheus Cunha had 6 goals and 1 assist. Under Michael Carrick, he has 3 goals and 1 assist. Now, if you cannot see how Michael Carrick has affected the attackers’ contributions with his style which solely focuses on individual brilliance from the midfield alone, then you’re not telling yourself the truth. Carrick fans will make you believe these players, especially Amad, lost form but I know they are ignorant of the fact that Carrick’s sitting deep and counter style has limited the attackers. Ruben Amorim was the one that used a “useless” formation according to them but that useless possession gave us more xG in matches, that “useless” formation engaged our attack more and they were productive unlike the “useful” formation and the DNA Carrick came with. Under Ruben Amorim, everyone was a contributor, it was more of a team performance. Under Michael Carrick, some players are left out, it’s more of individual performance. It was very obvious Ruben Amorim improved already but I guess I was the only one that saw it.

There has actually been a really good article written about this in Australia about how athletes here are approaching it to combat it, whether it's having comments turned off, privatising, or not using it at all. Just the measures they're having to take. I don't think you can 'stop them', that's a stretch & probably wrong, think of anyone at that age being told that, but you can provide education & guidance for them to consider & incorporate.
