During the Louis van Gaal era at Manchester United, Anthony Martial was my favourite player because of his flair.
That changed when Marcus Rashford made his United debut in February 2016 — you know why?
Because I saw a kid who had passion for the game. The hunger, the drive, and the hard work he put in made me start disliking Martial, because I began to see him as a lazy player.
Fast forward to when Rashford became the face of the club and was being compared to even Kylian Mbappé in his early years — he started misbehaving and doing as he pleased. He stopped chasing the ball like before; there was literally no passion to play anymore 💔
It got worse when he got the number 10 shirt. He started partying — even after the team lost a game the previous day, you’d see him in a bar like nothing really mattered. He became even lazier than Martial. I honestly hated being a United fan during this period 💔
Marcus Rashford took our love and support for granted, and now he’s suffering the consequences.
