@pl_european The dole is nearly as good as minimum wage after taxes, and since you don't have to work while on the dole, you can easily do a bit here or there for cash if you're clever. (most of the long term dole merchants do). You could also just draw it under 2 or even 3 names if you like.

The middle is finally set to benefit from the budget. What should come with that, though, is a total freeze on increases to welfare benefits. We need to reward work, ensure that it pays better than social welfare, and make sure that people who work are treated well.

Ireland has very significant infrastructure deficits. To propose whopping reductions in tax right now is enormously irresponsible. It is also very dangerous given how precarious the global economy is.

Kobbie Mainoo should refuse to play on Saturday vs France. If Thomas Tuchel doesn't want to use him at all the entire World Cup, don't have the nerve to insult him further & force him to play in a dead rubber. He deserves better than that.
