The thing about a potential Pandora Hearts anime remake is that while I would love for more PH it's also a series I hold incredibly close to my heart so if the anime isn't close to perfect I'll end up feeling (reasonable or not) rather bitter

@BlueStatice_ Yeah Mochijun's writing tends not to fit well into common fandom/shipping boxes which makes it so frustrating to watch people try to shove the characters/relationships into them anyways then assume it's a failure of the writing/the author when they can't

@blklilacc Like, even in the original rgu the sword isn't there to show us epic sword lesbians, the sword pulling is a kind symbol of the patriarchal violence of Ohtori. To have a sword pulled from your chest is to be violated, to be literally objectified.

@blklilacc I think what really bugs me about this discussion is that a lot of people only care about what the sword pull means for the character's sexuality not how it as an evolving symbol can help us better understand the character's personality/philosophy

Hyv is fairly intentional in what they pull from, considering the other character they have that references the same chest sword pull also has similar issues with personhood and their idealized self being a puppet, I don’t think it’s a coincidence here
