@CrabbyAshley the male body does not have the ability to develop like the female body even if estrogen is inserted. The body estrogen is intacting with is so different (male vs female) it can not have the same results

To answer your question: they lack research so few things can be said about it with certainty. I think suggestion plays a major role than in other disorders.

you cannot "make the disorder chronic" as both DID and ARFID need to be chronic in order to recieve a diagnosis in the first place
furthermore, how can a disorder that affects the integration of self since childhood not be considered chronic in anyone over the age of 9?

@plslvamsg For some disorders like ARFID or DID, extreme validation through online communities has shown to exacerbate the symptoms and make the disorder chronic. For the vast, vast majority of cases it should be more than treatable.

@sickdrmfantasy But it is depending on the severity, many ppl with arfid will puke food they can't stand immediately, if u force urself to eat food that makes u puke it just reinforces and worsens the repulsion to it bc it's a human instinct. It's only in milder cases that it can improve
