Every time I see Vučić interviewed in English I’m struck but how diluted and anodyne his rhetoric is compared to its Serbian variant. He really does speak from one side of his mouth to an international audience and the other when he’s at home. Much like Arafat back in the day.

If they’re so eager, the door isn’t just open—it’s practically on a hinge-sponsored scholarship. By all means, go chase those “greater” Serbia/Croatia dreams elsewhere; just don’t expect them to be financed by carving up Bosnia at Bosniaks’ expense. And since both Serbia and Croatia are busy hosting a demographic disappearing act,( but way of egregiously low childbirth) you’d think they’d be rolling out the welcome mat rather than sketching maps like it’s arts and crafts hour.
Truly, I wouldn’t want anyone to feel trapped in BiH—imagine missing all those opportunities waiting just across the border. Please, don’t let me stop them. When can you tell them?

Nice try—but Bosnia and Herzegovina isn’t a “pile of parts,” it’s one country, full stop; its internal divisions don’t make new states any more than rooms make separate houses, and it belongs to all its people—Bosniaks and Herzegovinians—every single day, not just when it’s convenient to pretend otherwise. No, I specifically did not want to say Serbs and Croats. Bosniaks and Herzegovinians, pet.

@Andric1961 That's the whole issue. There is a disconnect between Belgradr and the rest of Serbia. It's a country within a country and don't fully grasp to economics of politics. You need to engage constantly and that's what opposition is not doing.

This is how to challenge power. And not, like in Serbia, by a student movement lost in post-yugoslav delusions of direct democracy, opaque assemblies and rejection of any hierarchy. Or by opposition leaders who leave the capital once a week and consider that an accomplishment.
