If this was not an option then it should be removed from T&C and boarding pass should explicitly say you charge for any extra weight

Please be informed the all three points are mentioned below:- -Hand baggage will be accepted in the cabin, subject to the availability of space in the overhead bin. -Oversized or overweight hand baggage will be accepted as checked-in baggage, and it will be tagged and available for collection from the arrival hall conveyor belt. -If the hand baggage exceeds the free allowance of 7 kg at the boarding gate, it will be charged at ₹750 per kg for up to 5 kg extra, with a maximum total of 12 kg permitted in the cabin. @flyspicejet Pathetic Airline. First Flight is delayed and now their staff are scamming the Customers at the boarding gate by asking to pay for carry on luggage. Charged me 7500 for carry on luggage. These airlines should be punished for such pathetic behaviour. @DGCAIndia

The Staff were cheap and rude and as per them they have been asked to collect money. It was just about harassing the customer and taking advantage of the situation when customer has not other option but to pay

Please note that flights are rescheduled, canceled and delayed in the air transport sector due to operational reasons and regulatory directions. They accordingly form a part of its terms of carriage. Kindly note that the flight got delayed due to operational reasons. Your flight was scheduled to depart at 0435 hrs however the same was delayed by 1 hr 5 minutes and departed at 0540 hrs. Since the flight is affected last-minute hence we could not notify you in advance. However, the information about the delay was sent to the registered contact details dated 15th Dec'25 at 0218 hrs. Please note that each passenger is permitted to carry one piece of hand baggage with maximum weight of 7 kg. (which would include a laptop and duty-free shopping bags), free of cost. Please note that if the airline staff detects the passenger carrying excess hand baggage before and/ or at the time of boarding the aircraft, then he/she shall be charged INR 750 per kg for each additional kg, above the 7 kg free hand baggage allowance. As per our records, the passenger was carrying 10 kg of excess hand baggage, and the applicable amount of INR 7500 was charged as per the terms of carriage. If a passenger is carrying a checked-in baggage which is less than the stipulated weight i.e. less than 15 kg on a domestic flight and 20-30 kg on an international flight, the balance weight cannot be adjusted as hand baggage and vice versa. They charged me additional 7500 for carry on luggage. I didn’t had any check in luggage. @MoCA_GoI should penalise these shameful and shady activities by the airline.
