I used to love Vancouver, back when it was green and friendly. Now it's just concrete, construction, noise, and tiny expensive cubicles in glass towers. Painful and inhumane.

Last night Council approved updates to the Broadway Plan to meet BC’s rules for Transit-Oriented Areas. Over 30 years & 500 blocks, it will:
🏠 Add 41,500 homes
💼 Create 45,000 jobs
🏨 Build 3,000 hotel rooms

Marie Curie was the first woman to win the Nobel Prize. This didn't happen because she herself fought for it -- although she did fight hard the whole way to even get to that point. 👩🔬

Shoes on the Danube Bank is a Holocaust Memorial in Budapest dedicated to over 20,000 Jews who were marched to the river, forced to remove their shoes, and executed by Nazis in WW2.
Yellow Ribbons are tied to the memorial in honor of those murdered, raped and kidnapped on 10/7.

VERY close call. They brought me up to a shared room, despite it explicitly being noted I couldn’t share a room due to my degree of immunocompromise.
I told them I was prepared to sign out AMA. I’ll have to wait but they are now working on finding me a shared room.

Seriously, though, his accuracy is pretty decent. Earlier he was watching me quietly from the doorway to the bedroom. As I started feeling better he came for cuddles. Now he’s herding me a bit.
