Tesla: The Public Market Won’t Price What It Doesn’t Yet See There’s a fundamental disconnect in how value is assigned. In private markets, valuations are driven by possibility. Investors underwrite massive Total Addressable Markets (TAMs) and pay today for what a business could become. In public markets, valuations are driven by proof. Revenue, margins, and near-term growth dominate. If it’s not showing up in the numbers, it’s often heavily discounted or ignored. Tesla sits directly in the gap between these two frameworks. With initiatives like TERAFAB, Digital Optimus, Optimus, and Robotaxi, Tesla effectively contains multiple venture-scale opportunities inside a single public company. Each of these could, in isolation, command a substantial private market valuation based purely on TAM and long-term potential. Yet paradoxically, public market investors assign them little to no value. Why? Because they don’t fit cleanly into traditional valuation models - yet. They lack current revenue, comparable peers, and predictable timelines. So they’re treated as speculative side projects rather than core drivers of future enterprise value. So, Tesla is being valued largely for what it is, while quietly building what it could become. He's far from perfect, and the battle is far from over, but for the first time in my lifetime, someone has genuinely threatened the status quo and refused to back down. That's why the pushback against him has been so ferocious: he represents the real possibility of dismantling the corrupt system rather than just managing it. To me, supporting him now isn't just about one good presidency... it's about finally having a fighter who's willing to take on the whole rigged game for the sake of the country, and God help us if he fails.
