The Pakistan consulate states that online visa processing normally takes 7–10 working days. It has now been 60 days. They haven’t seen him since 2022 after he was shot in an assassination attempt. Jemima Goldsmith has appealed to Shehbaz Sharif to allow her sons, Sulaiman and Kasim Khan, to visit their father Imran Khan in prison.
In her message on X, Imran Khan's former wife said her sons reapplied for visas in January in order to travel to Pakistan to visit their father, but their applications have not been processed despite assurances from government spokesmen, including federal minister Khawaja Asif and Mosharraf Zaidi, that their visits would be facilitated.

💔مسجدِ الاقصی مسجد کے احاطے تک فلسطینیوں کی رسائی پر سیکیورٹی پابندیوں کے باعث کچھ نمازی وہاں داخل نہیں ہو سکے تھے، تو انہوں نے لیلة القدر کے موقع پر مسجد کے باہر سڑکوں پر ہی نماز ادا کی۔

ریاست پاکستان کو یہ یاد رکھنا چاہیے کہ قانون اور انصاف شخصیات کے مطابق نہیں بدلتے۔ اگر عمران خان کے بیٹوں کو اپنے والد سے جیل میں ملاقات کے لیے ویزہ کے حصول میں 60 دن سے زائد تاخیر کا سامنا ہے جبکہ معمول کے مطابق یہ عمل 7 سے 10 دن میں مکمل ہونا چاہیے، تو یہ نہ صرف انتظامی سوال پیدا کرتا ہے بلکہ قانونی بھی!!
پاکستان ICCPR اور بین الاقوامی انسانی حقوق کے اصولوں کا پابند ہے جہاں قیدیوں کو اپنے خاندان سے ملاقات اور رابطے کا بنیادی حق حاصل ہے۔ کسی بھی سیاسی یا انتظامی بنیاد پر اس حق میں رکاوٹ ڈالنا ریاستی ذمہ داری اور بین الاقوامی وعدوں کے منافی ہے!!
ریاستیں مضبوط تب ہوتی ہیں جب وہ قانون، انصاف اور انسانی حقوق کے اصولوں پر قائم رہیں — نہ کہ ایسے اقدامات سے جو دنیا کے سامنے سوالات کھڑے کریں!! ⚖️🇵🇰

Imran Khan’s sons blocked from visiting father!
Sulaiman and Kasim Khan applied for visas in January to see him in Pakistan. Despite repeated assurances from Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and the PM’s spokesperson, visas remain pending for over 60 days, versus the usual 7-10 working days.
No phone calls or letters are allowed. The family has been separated since the 2022 assassination attempt. The delay is straining relations and needs urgent action.
PTI demands transparency:
- Why deny a father and children the basic human right to meet?
- What are they hiding?
Families and prisoners deserve humane treatment, in this case both are being blatantly violated.
Allow the children to see their father immediately!
