@tenilleclarke1 That was 2019. It didn’t deter me from continuing to play mas all over, it did highlight how much more needs to be done to make mas inclusive and welcoming for EVERY BODY.

@tenilleclarke1 I have a lived experience with an incident of body shaming + lack of body inclusivity in mas at Trinidad carnival which was quite public. Imagine having your photo in costume shared in a media publication & the topic being fat shaming. That’s why this topic is so meaningful to me

@tenilleclarke1 In recent years brand partnerships are happening in some regions with large carnivals (eg Adidas, Lu Lu Lemon, etc.) beyond the usual alcohol/drink sponsors. Presents an opportunity to leverage their market to educate + share the right messages with body inclusive images.

@tenilleclarke1 We need to really promote and highlight the mas designers and bands who DO accommodate all sizes and offer options for such preferences in coverage range.

@tenilleclarke1 having to BUY and SHIP your own bra to a different country, state, island, etc to have your bra made is quite a hassle when their bra sizes are US standard sizes - it’s gotten better in some Trinidad bands (for a cost) and some regions but not everywhere equally.

@tenilleclarke1 I’ve heard that before. They don’t want to do wires for over a C or D and say the frame won’t hold etc etc and they disguise it as they are concerned for your comfort and coverage. BS

@BlueEyedCosplay @fairlife They are great until you get one where the protein that congealed in the lining of the mouthpiece breaks off in a slimy string and puts you off shakes for a week… I switched back to the 26g one and it doesn’t seem to happen with those😜

@GenWealthCanada @fairlife @costcocanada Try shoppers drug mart and loblaws stores. I’ve bought it at both in toronto. The nutrition plan one in the white bottles at Costco seems to be different that the core power protein one taste different to me too as I’ve had both.

@MCoveteur Yuma designers had a lot of carts this year it seems. I didn’t play with them so I can’t speak for how well it worked. I was in lost tribe.

@MCoveteur There was a PURE beverage cart parked in the grassy yard of the apartment I stayed in. I saw it on the road later Monday and Tuesday. yeah I can say from what I saw, it was a certain demographic and look (unfortunately).

@MCoveteur This is why y’all gotta play with Lost Tribe. All inclusive and inviting…feels like family 🫶🏽 Plus the photographers don’t discriminate… We had hammocks too btw 😋
