Missing my mom a little extra today on her birthday. Grateful for her life, grateful for the way she loved, and grateful for the peace of knowing she’s with the Lord. I simply don't have enough FAITH to be an atheist. God is everywhere once you start paying attention. Logically it just makes ZERO sense that this world happened by chance & it's all meaningless. Depressing too. I tried my hardest to logically conclude there was no God so I could be my own god...... I ended up depressed & miserable chasing my own happiness because it was always fleeting. Joy, peace, & purpose only come from one place. "Come to ME all who are weary and burdened, & I will give you rest." Jesus (Mathew 11:28) Maybe tonight is the night you say ONE PRAYER. Maybe you're tired & burdened. Maybe you desperately seek peace. It's available friend. Just ask. •I can't. •God can. •I think I'll let Him.

QUICK MARRIAGE TIP GUYS. If your bride reacts to something in a way that you feel like is over reaction, do not allow yourself to verbally respond until you are able to do it with a calm and steady voice. This is not talking about giving her the silent treatment. The silent treatment is what 16 year-old boys do to their girlfriend, not grown men who need to lead their families. First of all, allow her to finish her rant…or emotional meltdown. LISTEN TO HER. And even if you think she is overreacting, allow her to finish, make sure you have your emotions under control, and maybe ask her some questions to get more context on why she is blowing up before thinking you have answers. (PS. I am preaching directly to myself on this post.)
