Sad thing about launches these days is, all they have are views. Guys have gamed it so hard for virality that they tend to forget the purpose is not limited just to it. Numbers won’t mean anything if you aren’t able to tap into any of the below. - access to more capital - attract better talent - spiked customer acquisition - brand equity & recall Think beyond just guaranteeing VIEWS.

The coolest meeting I had this week with was Paul, who used ChatGPT and other LLMs to create an mRNA vaccine protocol to save his dog Rosie. It is amazing story. "The chat bots empowered me as an individual to act with the power of a research institute - planning, education, troubleshooting, compliance, and yes, real scientific design work in converting genomic data to a vaccine prescription and designing the treatment protocol around it. But they worked alongside humans at every step. The combination is what made it possible." It immediately got me thinking "this should be a company". Also, Paul is an extraordinary guy. This should be easy to do, but it is not yet.

All the “LAUNCH PLAYBOOKS” are going to collapse soon. Here’s why. Launch marketing as a service is dependent massively on how the X algorithm reacts to a post in the initial hours. Good thing here is that recommendation algorithms are similar on a fundamental level, so unless a hard-rule is applied, launch videos will continue performing well. Rn the number required as the “initial hour engagement ” is achievable, primarily because of the low volume of posts X has in comparison to other social media and also because the recommendation algorithm is public, so we exactly know how it weighs a particular reaction (like, comment, RT, reply etc.). Hence we are able to manipulate (or let’s say control) the initial hour engagement. Assuming that the volume on X will increase, so after some point of time, being able to still do the “initial hour engagement “ is going to become hugely difficult, because the number will boost enormously (not saying that it is impossible). An immediate con of this is heavy influencer budgets not everyone would be able to afford. An immediate implication being shitty launch videos not doing well, like they do now. For anyone solely dependent on the leverage that they understand the algorithm will be short lived and turn obsolete. The game will zero-down to those who have taste, intuition and understand how to go viral organically In layman terms; focus on making a launch video that is inherently viral and at the same time serves the purpose of the launch.

7. Giveaway a related resource useful to the target audience in exchange for a “comment + RT” This keeps the organic engagement on even after the 2-3 hour window. Hence it’s important to spend time and curate your giveaways to be helpful and engineered for virality.
