African countries must take a leadership stance in the Global campaign for a binding treaty to ban tools that are inherently used for torture and to regulate standard law enforcement tools that can also be used for torture - the proposed Torture-free Trade Treaty.

It’s good news that the Strait of Hormuz has now reopened. This must be a long lasting and workable solution, without tolls or restrictions on routes. Today we announced our joint plan with France and other international partners to protect freedom of navigation. We need to see a return to peace and stability, and a permanent ceasefire.

#Video President Adama Barrow has voiced strong reservations over United Democratic Party (UDP) leader Lawyer Ousainou Darboe’s recent “national address” following the High Court’s acquittal of Ousainou Bojang and his sister Amie Bojang in the high-profile Sukuta-Jabang police shooting case. Speaking on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the conclusion of his six-day nationwide tour in Somita, where he laid foundation stones for various projects, President Barrow suggested that public perception holds that Darboe’s “hands are not clean” in the matter. The president’s remarks underscore the intense political and public scrutiny the case continues to attract, months after the fatal incident.

@PempheroMphande Bullocks! The most of the wealth accumulated by America is proceeds of crime at the crimes against humanity level. But what Chomsky describes as manufactured consent has kept most of you oblivious, living in an imaginary bubble of America as a benefactor & champion of democracy

Such an arrogant and dumb statement, full of historical amnesia. Let me educate you. Have you paused to consider how the world functioned before the emergence of the United States barely 250 years ago, or before its rise as a superpower after the Second World War? Civilizations, economies, and systems of governance flourished long before American dominance. The world does not need American charity. It is America that needs the world to need its charity. Your aid is strategic, tied to geopolitical influence, economic leverage, and policy conditions that take away the sovereignty of recipient states. This is not benevolence in its purest form, but an instrument of power within an unequal international order. And surely, the world does not need American protection. Protection from whom? From wars and conflicts you create. The CIA has manufactured several conflicts across the world. The United States has been involved in interventions, covert operations, and conflicts across regions such as Latin America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia during the Cold War and beyond. Why? Because war is a business that the military-industrial complex of America benefits from and whose money runs your country. The world would not need protection if you did not exist. Your nation is a parasite that feeds off the stolen wealth of others and their suffering. American prosperity is intertwined with global systems of trade, resource extraction, and financial dominance. Your biggest weapon, the dollar, survives on oil. Its centrality in global markets, reinforced by its role in oil transactions, has afforded the United States significant structural advantages. That is why you invaded Iraq and Afghanistan, and now Iran. Similarly, your wealthiest companies, like Apple, have benefited from supply chains that often originate in regions marked by inequality and exploitation, such as the Congo. They thrive on the hunger, exploitation, and suffering of children in the Congo to fund American riches. It is a tiny fraction of the proceeds of such wealth that you send as charity to Africa and the rest of the world. There was life before America was born, and there will be life after you are gone. Either America will learn to live in peace and harmony with others, or, like other empires before it, it will fall.
Matt Walsh@MattWalshBlog

America is the richest, most powerful, and most generous country in the world. We are so superior to everyone else, and so charitable and kind and helpful, that unfortunately many of the lesser countries on the globe have become welfare queens who expect us to coddle, care for, fund, fight for and protect them. We are the parents who have taken good care of our children, but have not forced them to contribute enough, or earn their own keep, and now they are spoiled, ungrateful, and helpless. It’s time to cut the umbilical cord and force the rest of the countries to stand on their own two feet. We can’t do everything for everyone.

Statement Issued by a Free Saudi Citizen Expressing the Voice of Every Saudi Who Rejects Humiliation and Arrogance To President Donald Trump, How dare you? How could your arrogance and insolence reach the point where you publicly criticize Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman with such blatant superiority, as if the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is still under your direct control, and as if the rulers of the Gulf still await your signal or fear your rebuke? You are the one who contributed to turning some rulers of the region into obedient tools, competing to please you and fearing your anger more than they fear the anger of their own people. You are the one who planted the seeds of greed and humiliation in the corridors of some palaces, until some began selling the dignity of their countries for a deal or a smiling photograph. You are the one who turned the Gulf into an arena for your personal influence and humiliated the prestige of Arab states until some of them appeared as subordinates begging for your approval. Today, you come out to rebuke and criticize openly, as if you are still the supreme authority over our internal affairs. Hear this clearly and unequivocally: The era of subservience, submission, and foreign domination has ended and will never return. The free Saudi people will not accept their country being treated as a farm or a company managed from outside the borders of the Arabian Peninsula. We are not subordinates to any American administration, and we will not allow any foreign president — regardless of who he is — to exploit any internal Saudi disagreement to impose false lessons on us in ethics or democracy, after his hands have been immersed in supporting humiliation and subservience throughout the region. Your criticism of the Crown Prince is not the core issue. The real issue is this arrogance that reflects a mistaken belief that you are still able to interfere in the Kingdom’s affairs or insult its leadership without response. That time has passed. Our internal differences with our leadership remain a purely Saudi matter, and no one outside our borders has the right to intervene in it or exploit it to undermine the prestige of the state or remind us of the days of humiliation produced by previous policies. Saudi national dignity is not a cheap commodity to be sold in the markets of commercial deals, and it shall not be touched by foreign hands. We, the sons of this proud nation, categorically reject that any Saudi leader — regardless of disagreements with him — be used as a tool to humiliate the Kingdom or undermine its sovereignty.

Russia, China and Iran vote with others to demand trillions in reparations from UK taxpayers…and the Labour government abstain! Britain led the fight to end slavery. Why didn’t Starmer’s representative vote against this? Ignorance…or cowardice? We shouldn’t be paying for a crime we helped eradicate and still fight today.

@FurkanGozukara Where were all these elite forces to win the war in Afghanistan? It’s one thing to be great killers, we all know they’re good at that but you can’t kill your way to everything. The start to this war should’ve taught them that. Arrogance is their problem.
