It’s been a great pleasure and an honor for @ambrpr_ and me to collect @jackbutcher’s first sculpture, created in collaboration with @AspreyStudio. Meeting Jack and @alastairwalker in London, seeing the piece in person, and learning the story, process, and provenance behind it made the experience all the more meaningful. Jack’s ingenuity, Asprey’s legacy, and Ali’s dedication come together beautifully in this work. Plenty more to share soon.

We’ve always said SILK would be a slow cook. We’re building with care, focusing on long-term relationships with artists and collaborators whose vision we genuinely align with. People we can imagine working alongside for decades, not just brief encounters. Every collaboration starts with that in mind. We’re intentional with our energy and only want to engage where we believe we can bring depth, meaning, and lasting growth. The artists and collaborators we’ve partnered with so far have all shared that same vision. New York reaffirmed that this approach resonates. The engagement around the talks and the curation was very motivating. Grateful to everyone who took part with curiosity, and to the artists and @fellowshiptrust for making it what it was.

When we first started collecting digital art, @omentejovem was one of the first artists whose work truly stood out and an artist we prioritized early on. After two years of exchanges, and now having had the chance to collaborate with him through @silkarthouse, it’s clear that his talent is matched by character. He’s grounded, thoughtful, and intentional. Though still very young, his approach is very mature, and he’s incredibly deliberate in how he processes ideas and releases work with intention. He has all the makings of a long and meaningful career. It’s been a pleasure and an honor to work with him on “Stories on Circles”, the first official SILK-hosted collection launching on May 30th.
