I joined a cult called @HamptonFounders here's an interview to prove it.
joinhampton.com/blog/he-scaled…
Before joining, I was alone. I just put my head down for YEARS in the shadows while working and shut the world out because there’s just so few people to talk to about things like:
- Not knowing who you can ever fully trust.
- Making the wrong decisions and the guilt that comes with it.
- Being scammed, impersonated, hacked, siphoned, sued, slandered etc.
- Worrying about being my true self, especially on the internet/social media.
- How to be a good father/husband while juggling the extreme highs and lows.
But it’s not just about the bad! I also didn’t have a community that could truly understands the good that comes with massive risks paying off and the joys that are associated.
Hampton changed this for me in the blink of an eye. It’s like someone turned on a switch and all of a sudden I’m surrounded by people doing even better than me going through all the same things? I still have trouble believing it. I feel like I have new energy for the phase of my life.
I really mean it. Thanks for making something like this, Sam Parr Joe Speiser. I didn't know something like this existed, but I finally found a home.
(Ps. I wrote this while listening to Dashboard Confessional, remember that?? #hashtag #myspace #emo)

Built an 8-figure business.
Still tells people to unfollow him.
On Founder Mode, Jonathan Sturgeon breaks down:
→ Why he ditched personal brand advice and doubled down on cold calls
→ How his “pay-what-it’s-worth” IT startup went viral
→ The Wolf of Wall Street energy that got him evicted
→ Why some of the best founders are allergic to social
This one’s for the builders who grow without performing.

@JamesonCamp Did you have an M&A advisor? Were there other offers on the table?

@MrPassive_ Bro it probably happens more to business owners

Corporate employee:
• No energy after work
• Sundays filled with dread
• Two weeks vacation (that you feel guilty taking)
• Kids see you exhausted
• Spouse watches you burn out
• Living for the weekend
Business owner:
• Energy for what matters
• Sundays feel like any other day
• Take off whenever you want
• Kids see you present
• Spouse sees a different person
• Living every day
Same 24 hours. Different defaults. Different life.
What's it gonna be?

@imintomoms @scaling_shields If you can't handle kids with a $360k income you have a massive skill issue.

once you hit $30k/mo everything becomes a solved problem
get kicked out of a club? $200 to the bouncer and youre back in with a table
miss your flight? first class on the next one, who cares
bad day? book a flight to portugal tonight
health issue? private doctor picks up on the first ring
hate cleaning? someone shows up twice a week and you forget that chore even exists
stressed? spa, shopping, five star dinner, whatever
before $30k/mo i used to think rich people were exaggerating
theyre not
money literally deletes problems from your life
not "reduces" them
deletes them
the shit that used to ruin my week now gets solved in 15 minutes with a credit card
i used to argue with customer service for 45 minutes trying to get a refund
now i just buy another one and move on
i used to stress about bills
now theyre on autopay and i dont even check
i used to stay in bad situations because i couldnt afford to leave
now i leave
thats the real freedom
not cars and watches
just the ability to make any problem disappear
people who say money doesnt buy happiness have never had their card declined at a grocery store
get money
everything else gets easier after that

@realEstateTrent I think skill is needed around 10+ mil and scaling beyond. Anything under that can just be luck
