I don't want to be remembered for what I accomplished. I want to be remembered for how I made others believe they could achieve while being their true selves. That’s 98% of the reason of how I got to where I’m at…because someone believed in me and helped show me the way.

@justnblock @collin_ruth89 That's not really true anymore. Look at the 2026 Corolla, base ICE version is 2955 lbs and the hybrid is 2850 lbs. No belt driven components on the hybrid either.

I don’t understand why every vehicle isn’t a hybrid. Why not use regenerative braking to charge a battery in every car? Huge increase in gas mileage. Why do they still make non-hybrids?

@colejaczko The only goal is optimizing for a great life. You can do that with or without booze. For me, my life got way better without it. Also just because you have a six pack, doesnt mean your healthy. Lets see what that brain and liver look like vs someone who doesnt drink!

Don’t let anyone convince you alcohol is bad for you I think alcohol is great for me. It’s great for me to be out with friends, making memories, and meeting people You think it comes at an expense of your health but that’s bullshit. I drink all the time & I’ve got a 6-pack, glowing skin, and look/feel great The healthiest thing you can do is live a life that excites you. One that makes you jump out of bed in the morning & go to sleep smiling. If some hangovers are the price to pay for lifelong memories then I’ll take that trade Whether or not you want to drink is a personal decision….but I’ll leave you with a line from @coltybrah that always stuck with me when it comes to “optimization” “What are you optimizing for? It should be to have a good life.” So…what are you optimizing for?

Steven Bartlett says a few glasses of wine ruined the next 3 days of his life “It's one of those areas where you don't understand the hidden cost until you really give it up for a while. I stopped drinking at 30 years old. I'm now 33. When I was 31, I thought, I'll have a drink again because now I could really A/B test it. I had a year of not drinking, decided to have a drink again” “It ruined three days of my life. I had a couple of glasses of wine, didn't get drunk. It ruined three days of my life because of the domino effect it caused” “I got worse sleep that night, and then because I got worse sleep that night, I ate more poorly the next day because my dopamine system or whatever, the cortisol system was all messed up. I podcasted worse. I didn't go to the gym that day or the day after because I felt really bad. I then slept worse, and I could track all of this on my Whoop”

Boomers criticize Gen Z for always being on their phones without realizing their brains are degenerating just as quickly from the apps and television they so quickly dismiss as "not the same." Facebook is no better than Instagram. White Lotus is no better than Naruto. Candy Crush is no better than Clash of Clans. Its all the same predatory digital vice in a different package. Look around and you'll see almost everyone is losing. How is just a personal preference. The only way to win is turn away from screens and choose analog hobbies where you can. Do it out of spite alone.

the core idea I write about in the pathless path is that there is a different game than the economic game - it is the life game. and moving against the life game is costly because there are hidden psychological taxes and burnout that incur debt you need to repay the override is to shift to the idea that you should actually pursue the work and life you want to be living right now, urgently, and doing so because when you move in this way you will feel like you are moving toward something that feels like flow with something deeper - it is inexplicable you can see this in others when they can laugh about what they do, can move between projects / kinds of work easily, can reinvent quickly, can move locations without a big crisis, can root for others easily etc... these are not the traits that hack us with envy, but if you pay attention you'll start to notice things that are worth doing

@colejaczko One could argue the exact opposite — that it’s the people who drink regularly and sleep in who miss out on the best experiences and don’t meet the best people. I’ve lived both lifestyles and my experiences and relationships from climbing are way better.

The volume of people that have joined social media to become a ‘creator’ or make a business out of growing a following is relatively, much higher than it used to be It might seem daunting to get going…. (imposter syndrome, etc?) but i think it’s never actually been easier to stand out with how much people rely on external tools for their voice. The consumer is getting smarter. People are tired. It’s a gift that 99% of people aren’t writing or making their own things in my opinion. Getting easier and easier to filter out the ones that aren’t worth following

You have to view internet responses like sentientless mouthbabble. 99% of people don't have the reading/messaging comprehension ability to properly interpret even a basic sentence anyways. The vast majority cannot follow a simple instruction sheet. Therefore, you must view the commentbabble with no actual meaning or significance to it, as it's all just 'incorrect noise'. You don't need to be understood in it, don't need to prove a point in it. You just have fun & keep moving. It's sort of like when your gf randomly tells you she hates when she's hungry. "stop being so cute, here's a snickers". Then she takes 1 bite and does her little happy dance & all is well in the world "Man suffers only because he takes seriously what the gods made for fun"

If anyone has a shirt guy. I’m willing to pay a 5-8% fee if someone can secure me this shirt, not a link. But I need to be able to actually buy it.
