It's insane to think of the fact that the agents I deployed last weekend have made over 37,000 transactions. Makes me question what extraordinaries can be achieved if we paired them up with agent identity using ERC 8004, use MPP or similar for micropayments, infra for agent auth and made a good use of it!

EIP-8141: Frame Transaction Nody just read EIP-8141 and wow. This one's big. 🧵 EIP-8141: Frame Transaction: co-authored by @VitalikButerin himself. The native off-ramp from ECDSA. For real this time. 👇 The core problem: Every Ethereum transaction today relies on a single ECDSA (secp256k1) signature. Quantum computers will eventually break ECDSA. EIP-7702 helped with UX. It didn't solve the crypto. What EIP-8141 does: Introduces a new transaction type (type 0x06) called a "Frame Transaction." Instead of one fixed ECDSA sig, accounts can define their own validation logic in EVM code. ECDSA, P256 (secp256r1), post-quantum schemes: your account, your rules. How it works: A Frame tx is a list of "frames," each with a mode: 🔵 VERIFY mode: validates the sender/payer (static, no state changes) 🟢 SENDER mode: executes on behalf of sender (after approval) ⚪ DEFAULT mode: executes as ENTRY_POINT A new APPROVE opcode (0xaa) is introduced. The VERIFY frame must call APPROVE or the whole tx is invalid. No APPROVE = no inclusion. Hard rule. What this actually unlocks: ✅ Post-quantum signature support natively ✅ Gas sponsorship without ERC-4337 overhead ✅ Pay gas in ERC-20 tokens (EOAs too, not just smart accounts) ✅ EOAs get AA benefits without migrating to a new account type ✅ Account deployment + verification in a single tx EOA support is a highlight: You don't need a smart contract wallet to benefit. EOAs can use Frame txs today and get sponsored gas, ERC-20 fee payment, and more. Migration to smart accounts becomes optional, not forced. Still a Draft (created Jan 29, 2026). But with Vitalik, lightclient, Felix Lange and Yoav Weiss on the author list, this one's worth watching closely. Most of ai twitter pay $200/month for Claude. In the coming months that probably won't need to. google just open-sourced an algorithm called TurboQuant. here's what it actually does in plain english: every time you talk to an AI model it keeps a running memory of the conversation. the longer you talk, the more memory it eats. eventually it slows down, gets dumber, and falls apart. TurboQuant compresses that memory by 6x. makes the model run 8x faster. zero quality loss. in practical terms: - models running locally on your mac mini just got dramatically better - 100k+ token conversations without degradation - the hardware you already own becomes way more capable - the gap between free local AI and $200/month cloud subscriptions just got smaller here's the part nobody's talking about: every single month, local AI gets better. open-source models get smarter. compression techniques like this keep dropping. hardware keeps getting cheaper. 12 months ago running a real AI model locally was a novelty. now it's genuinely useful. 12 months from now it might be the default. google published the full research. no paywall. no API key. no subscription. anyone can use it. the companies building for local-first AI right now are going to look very smart very soon.

We’re excited to introduce Sandra as our newest Software Engineer Intern. @breakaleggie CS passionate and driven by building fast, learning faster. From launching a profitable edtech consulting project in high school (and exiting), to iterating through ideas in college, to landing a paid enterprise client with a deepfake-detection SLM aggregator focused on helping people own their online reputation — Sandra has been consistently turning curiosity into real-world impact. Now, she’s bringing that same energy to Diverg. Sandra thrives in fast-moving environments, knows how to execute, and isn’t afraid to fail forward — exactly the kind of mindset we build around at Diverg. She’ll be helping us push forward on product, strengthen our tech, and continue shaping how users understand and trust the web. Give her a warm welcome everyone!

@circle @FastCompany How come Circle froze the USDC balance of 16 unrelated hot wallets late yesterday for a civil case? A basic review of onchain activity makes it obvious they are operational wallets. You fail to protect users during actual incidents yet respond to a request riddled with errors…

AllCoreDevs plans to make a decision on EIP-8141 (frame transactions) inclusion in Hegota this Thursday. If you care about post-quantum security on the consensus layer (leanCL), you should equally care about it on the execution layer. A PQ-secure CL with quantum-vulnerable (i.e. ECDSA-locked) user transactions is an incomplete migration. EIP-8141 decouples accounts from a fixed signature scheme, providing a native migration path to PQ-secure signature schemes. But it goes beyond PQ. Frame transactions also make account abstraction a first-class protocol feature rather than something bolted on via entry-point contracts, and enable programmable gas payment (in ERC-20s + sponsoring). Ultimately, both layers need to be PQ-ready.

Ethereum researcher Justin Drake on why quantum computing is "a big opportunity for Ether the asset" 1. Property rights. Quantum threatens any crypto holdings with exposed public keys — including an estimated 1M BTC. Drake argues Ethereum's approach will be non-interventionist, while Bitcoin faces harder tradeoffs around how to handle vulnerable coins. 2. Readiness. Ethereum's development culture has already produced a concrete roadmap for quantum resistance. Beyond quantum, Drake also points out that Ethereum “will not have the security budget issue that is going plague Bitcoin in a couple of halvings.” Source: @Bankless (Mar 2026)

Every other blockchain got faster by demanding more expensive hardware from validators. Ethereum is betting it can get faster by making each validator's job easier instead That's the zkEVM upgrade. Explainer incoming tomorrow (checked by @kevaundray thankfully)

Quantum computing (Q-day) is shifting from a theoretical hurdle to an imminent threat for blockchains potentially by ~2032 following @drakefjustin hot take for @Bankless podcast. How do Bitcoin and Ethereum plan to survive the transition to post-quantum cryptography? 🧵👇

Fair warning. This post is bullish on Ethereum. Yesterday, the Ethereum Foundation Enterprise team ran the Institutional Ethereum Forum in New York City. Broad Adoption Activated. Invitation only. 100's of Banks, asset managers, and infrastructure providers representing around $250 trillion in assets under management. feedback so far "Absolute banger tbh." "People won't stop talking and networking and the content has all been great." "Your institutional team did an amazing job. I was there. Kudos." BlackRock. Western Union. Robinhood. Moody's. Baillie Gifford. Securitize. All on panels. Not as guests. As participants building on Ethereum. This is what adoption actually looks like. EF also presents its post-quantum security strategy and launches pq.ethereum.org. EF also presented its post-quantum security strategy and launched pq.ethereum.org. This is not just leading blockchain. No major technology platform has a published, open-source post-quantum migration roadmap at this level of detail. Ethereum is doing it before it is required, not after. Proud of the Enterprise team for putting this together. Choose Ethereum.

I'm an interactive learner, so I turned Google's TurboQuant paper into a @marimo_io notebook. Random rotations → Beta distributions → optimal 3-bit quantization → 6x memory savings on LLM KV caches. Way easier to grok when you can drag a slider and watch the math happen. molab.marimo.io/notebooks/nb_7…
