When I said we couldn’t let @SEPTAPHILLY fail, I meant it.
That’s why in November, we allocated $220M in emergency funding to SEPTA so they could lease new cars, update equipment, and restore full service on Regional Rail.
And using those funds, SEPTA has now purchased an additional 24 cars to add to their fleet — just in time for the arrival of thousands of tourists who are coming to celebrate America250, the World Cup, and more.

This is just one example of how offshore wind construction disrupts and confuses cetaceans. Yet another healthy whale was killed this week near Empire Wind construction activities.
Whales normally have no trouble avoiding collisions with large ships, thanks to their highly evolved senses of hearing, sight, and orientation. But imagine being suddenly blinded and deafened in the middle of a busy freeway — while the cars and trucks around you are also unable to see or hear you. That’s the deadly situation whales and vessels now face near offshore wind projects.

Right now, the vessel Deep Cygnus is out in the NY Bight, jet-trenching the seafloor for Empire Wind’s export cables , ripping up bottom habitat, blasting sediment, and destroying the very grounds our fishermen rely on. Jet-trenching churns up massive plumes of mud and sand, smothering habitat, burying forage species, and wiping out the bottom structure that fish, scallops, crabs, and marine life depend on. This isn’t “clean energy.” This is industrial destruction of the ocean floor on a massive scale. @POTUS, why are you allowing this right off the coast of your hometown?

Suspend the gas tax!
Right now, the gas tax stands at 57.6¢ per gallon, and the diesel tax is 74.1¢ per gallon. With families and businesses already feeling the strain of rising costs, suspending the gas tax would provide meaningful relief at the pump.
It’s time to put money back in the pockets of hardworking Americans.

I’m from the border where fraud is normal. Mexicans have their babies in El Paso at the county hospital, claim they don’t have money so they don’t have to pay the hospital, then apply for WIC, food stamps, and Medicaid because their babies are American citizens.

Colorado is now requiring lawyers in the State, as a condition of logging into its court e-filing system, to promise not to cooperate with federal authorities in enforcing federal immigration law. Please understand: - I do not practice immigration law. - I do not practice criminal law. - Nothing about my civil practice has anything to do with this. And yet because I cannot log into the State's official e-filing system without saluting The Resistance, I now cannot represent my clients, file lawsuits, access cases, file documents in existing cases, etc. If I click "Decline," it kicks me out of the system. I must click "Accept" to access the system and continue representing my civil clients -- again, in cases that have absolutely nothing to do with immigration law or policy. I've read SB 25-276 (the law referred to below). It does not regulate me as a private attorney or any of the clients I represent in civil matters. This is outrageous draconian overreach. I have ethical obligations to my clients to represent them competently. My existing cases have running deadlines that I must attend to. Judges issue orders in my cases that I must follow. If I don't click "Accept" in order to access the State's e-filing system, I will harm my clients, torpedo my practice, and probably commit malpractice. So, I have no choice. I'm clicking "Accept" under protest.
