Dynamic Client Registration is broken and hard to use: Today MCP core maintainers accepted a proposal that the next version of MCP will make use of Client ID Metadata. This will make the use of DCR no longer necessary. github.com/modelcontextpr…

@janwilmake @p0 I'm seeing "Connector is not safe" when I'm trying to set up cubby as a connector. Did you run into that error? Not a very helpful error lol. I'm thinking I might need to use my own oauth provider instead of stytch, bc the `issuer` value comes from a diff subdomain w/ stytch

big news: OpenAI just released the docs for their FULL MCP offering. They call it "APPS" You can just use them by naming them, no "installation" needed. Let's get Parallel in there! People may be able to use it by simply saying "Research top 50 companies to target. Do this in Parallel" HYPED 🔥

@cbugwadia32 important clarification here that the "they" is not the department, but rather the college/university. the department voted on this ages ago, the college just seems to have better things to do. and then there's the evcp, who has yet to respond to the queries about budgeting.

non-CS/EECS people saying we complain too much don't understand the bullshit we have to put up with on a consistent basis. they can't even come to a consensus on removing the worst class in the department as a requirement, when that was supposed to be done April 8th.

it is April 11th, enrollment starts in about a week, and there are zero CS classes listed in the enrollment center.

@notkavi i think examtool having no dependency on ok is one of the things that made it work. the more i've worked with ok, the more i've realized that its biggest downfall is its poor scalability (and i have yet to find the bandwidth to make it scale better).

@imvs19 But yeah he's 100% right. Honestly the whole platform was a mistake, I think the idea was fine but we could have done it via a service other than ok

taking a computer security course where a good example of why you shouldn't roll your own crypto is a custom exam platform that was created and used by the course i was a TA for in summer 2020. fond memories! that was the only semester we used that platform.
