GPS has nothing to do with the internet. Your phone talks to satellites, not servers. The satellites send your coordinates. The map tiles you recently viewed are cached locally on your device. No signal needed. The sky is doing the heavy lifting. Most people use GPS every day and have no idea it is a completely separate system from the internet. It was built by the US military in the 1970s and they just quietly gave it to the world for free.

So far Israel and the US have targeted only the IRGC, not the regular military.
