CSIR-Central Road Research Institute New Delhi, in collaboration with CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum Dehradun, has developed and transferred an innovative Bio-Bitumen technology based on pyrolysis of agricultural biomass.
Technology transfer agreements signed today in the presence of Hon'ble Minister of Agriculture and Farmer's Welfare Sh Shivraj Singh Chouhan (@ChouhanShivraj ) between CSIR and industry partners including Bitumix India LLP (Assam), GK 91 Bioeconomy Pvt Ltd (Maharashtra), Jainsons India (Uttar Pradesh), Straw Biofuels (Punjab), Torchtar Membranes & Bitumen Products Pvt Ltd (New Delhi) & others—converting crop residue into wealth, reducing stubble burning, and promoting green road construction.
