Here to read history, argue on markets, and steal other's time You have to pay the price for being ambitious.

The risks I didn't take, the opportunities I let go, the time I didn't utilise well all compounded together to make me miss another opportunity of the decade. The start of 2026 had taught me so much already. But I promise to myself, I will prepare well for the next one.

No. You should not invest in “direct stocks”. Whether you are a new investor or an old investor or have less money or have lots of money. There are professionals who are doing it for decades. They have large teams. They have devoted their life to it. You cannot beat them. As a matter of fact, most of them cannot beat the index. The best you can do is to invest in the index. There is NO ALPHA is stock selection.

Most software engineers are built for one phase of the career. Some shine early - fast coders, grinding LeetCode, shipping features at 22 - and then stall. Others struggle in the beginning, but dominate later when judgment, systems thinking, and calm under pressure start to matter. A few peak very late - they stop chasing hype, understand trade-offs deeply, and move through complex systems with ease. In software, the moment shows up when experience finally compounds into clarity. You don’t know when that moment will arrive. The only real mistake is quitting before it does.

Most people are built for one season of life. Some are brilliant in youth and dull after. Others dominate in midlife, then decline. A few peak late and they learn to move through life with ease. You never really know when your moment will come

The tech industry will probably go through a massive wave of resignations and layoffs The talented ones (with courage) will leave to build their own things and the mediocre ones will be forced to leave the company due to AI The world is moving faster than ever in history
