Wow, this list is INCREDIBLY useful. The topic is much bigger than just #psychologicalsafety. The topic nothing less than how to relate to our fellow human beings. I'd love to hear which items are your favorites... or stories about putting them into practice.

Burnout is due to systemic issues not a lack of robustness in individuals. We need our hospitals and colleges to address longterm systemic issues such as appropriate rostering, strong communication and leadership so clinicians have the autonomy & energy to do the job

A conversation we have to have urgently in #PedsICU ! #burnout is real and not something that can be prevented by the individual! Need our @CICMANZ and @anzics colleagues to work together and help us develop programs that can be implemented in organisations ! @LizCrowe2

I agree with @MightyDermPath! I think we are taught to fear failure, but it really is the way to grow. I have become a big proponent of Carol Dweck's growth mindset. First recommended to me by @drsusanko @MindsetWorks

I failed my 1st anatomy exam. 1st time I had ever failed a test (except my driving test but that’s another story 🤣🤣). Actually hadn’t thought about that anatomy exam in yrs. I’m now a #pathologist and interim chair of the #dermatology department. Failure is 1st step of growth.

#GrowthMindset feedback 🧠🌱 • "If it were easy, you wouldn’t learn much." • "When the work is hard, you know you’re building your brain!" • "When you practice, you’re making the connections in your brain stronger." • "You’re skilled because you put in the effort to learn."

"It’s never shameful for even a wise man to keep on learning new things all his life. Be flexible, not rigid. Think of trees caught in a raging winter torrent: Those that bend will survive with all their limbs intact. Those that resist are swept away."

Choosing a book title is hard - but with your help it might be easier. Tell me which title you would prefer to see on the cover of my new book.

A crucial misconception is that #psychologicalsafety will naturally occur in any reasonably healthy workplace. In fact, psychologically safe work environments are rare. They require deliberate, consistent actions. Fortunately, these exist. @HarvardBiz hbr.org/2021/06/4-step…
