i hate to be complaining all the time but is there anything i can actually be positive about if i've been grinding since december and i still lose more than twice as many games as i win? Genuinely what is there to be happy about

i feel like people don't like to admit this but i'll admit i'm someone who is trying to put a lot of time into this game cos i'd like to be competitive but after more than 400 hours i'm still at a extremely low level with 30% wr and it makes me feel really awful about myself

This situation happens because, against Yoshimitsu, if you tech roll in a standard way, it’s not even a 50/50 — it becomes a 100% loss. No choice If that’s the developer’s direction, then there’s not much we can do, but it feels extremely strong, 🤔

@valytracks_ This has to be more a testament to the degree that offense has been maxed out in T8. This Lily player was probably just used to being able to scrub out their opponents with heavy offense. There's also plenty to be said about spacing, movement, and timing.

i have so many thoughts but i dont wanna be called elitist. obviously its funny that shes dying to this string but the deeper issue is why she was even able to get here and it has very little to do with how the top ranks work, rather that the low ranks were made useless

@SpatialBiggs I have 2 Quest 2s. Both used. Terrible idea. I should have walked away from the second purchase. The seller looked gross. I spent hours disassembling and cleaning every millimeter of those headsets, and I still feel icky using them.

No. Secondhand market is striking right now. I've been recommending Quest 2 for PC players who just want a cheap VR streaming headset to try things out since they are selling for so low. I think that dynamic picks up at the Steam Frame release unless the hardware gets moved into deprecation. The counter worry though is the why headets are getting so low price when everything else is rising. Clearly supply is meeting demand...

The Horizon OS Navigator begins its rollout to "All Quest Users" from April 7th.

The past month has left me with very mixed feelings about XR. Two very different emotions have been unfolding at the same time. On one hand, the entire XR community has been surrounded by a strong sense of pessimism. With Meta’s layoffs and growing uncertainty around Apple’s roadmap for Vision Pro, industry sentiment has probably fallen to its lowest point in history. On the other hand, over the past month I’ve spent a lot of time with teams across the industry and tried quite a few new devices. Headsets at just over 100 grams, 30 to 40 PPD, and 100+ degree FOV. Many of the problems that had troubled the industry for years are now being solved. The more I saw, the more I felt that XR is no longer some distant future. It is right in front of us. The next generation of devices is already coming into view. At the same time, while some teams are still struggling, I’ve seen many developers keep building new things, and quite a few of them are making more money than ever. That is what makes this industry so interesting. From the outside, it looks pessimistic. Even inside the industry, opinions are still pretty divided. But if you look a little closer, things start to look very different. More often than not, the places people see the most risk are exactly where the biggest opportunities start to emerge. The second wave of XR may really be about to begin.
