@Scobleizer There is a language to leaving. This is a fast and defensive action, whatever the reason. We can speculate, but the truth will likely out in a few months unless lawsuits start to spin up.

When I worked at Microsoft I learned that when an employee is fired there often is an internal reason that never gets discussed in public. The reason ranged from theft (one employee charged a wedding to a corporate card) to moral turpitude (instead arrested, for instance, or having a sex scandal). Whatever happened this is a huge loss for @OpenAI.

@Scobleizer @elonmusk This was pretty inevitable. We have been chasing "human form" programming (how to get a computer to learn by watching) both in theory and practice for a while now. The next step will be to get them to take video A and video B and come up with something new in between them.

Our world changed tonight. In 10 years we will look back at the first public demo of a robot that learned to move around the world by watching only videos. This is a paradigm shift in how software is built. At one point @elonmusk took over because the AI made a mistake. He said the fix is to feed it more videos. Multi modal AIs are here. At full scale. This speeds up the humanoid robot for me. Imagine you showing your robot how to make grandmas recipe. And from then on it can make it every night if you want. Cameras just had a paradigm shift.
