@louisa1000 @PatrickChristys Undoubtedly some play the system, but tarring those on benefits (including those in work) with the same brush is lazy and unfair

@inourday @PatrickChristys No, but families with loads of kids who now earn more on benefits than hard working families can ever hope to earn, that’s not right!

@neilsmithsky @PatrickChristys I hope you never fall on bad times and have to claim benefits. If you do Im sure the last thing youll think about is a quick trip to the Tower of London.

If a private organisation wants to give a concession to someone on benefits, like a pensioner or someone on a low income, that’s a matter for them.
Michael Simmons@Simmons__

Is this fair?

@albieamankona Even if it was true and these were all fully private organizations (which they are not because they are fully or partly taxpayer funded), the government is cudgeling companies to offer freebies or big discounts

@MerrynSW Do you honestly think people on benefits choose to stay on benefits because they get cheap entry into these places?

@neilsmithsky @PatrickChristys You actually think all people on benefits choose to do so and one of the reasons is they get to go to these places at a cheap rate?

@PatrickChristys This is why being on benefits has become a lifestyle choice for many

@PatrickChristys Yet another incentive for many to stop working. This country is so screwed. People on benefits now get so much but hard working families they get nowt, this is a major problem, people will rebel!

This is what Labour wanted. 500 children without a school place. 170 staff made redundant. Their VAT raid on school fees was never about “fairness”, it was about punishing independent education. Children, families teachers and support staff are now paying the price.

@inourday @RobertJenrick Paid for by workers & businesses through ever increasing taxes. Weak MPs have given the benefits class the false idea that they are entitled to a lifestyle paid for by others or ever increasing debt. This needs to stop, benefits need massive reductions & the tax burden reduced.

@jenn26265 @RobertJenrick Really! You want a govt to tell independent businesses what to charge? And a bit rich of Jenrick to complain about this when it was the case when he was in govt .

@inourday @RobertJenrick That’s a separate issue to whether or not it’s fair, but actually an incoming government could regulate this.

@RobertJenrick Sat in the Kwik Fit waiting room while getting some work done on my car it was a regular influx of Motability users dropping by for free work on their benefits 'company car'. No bill payable as they are on Motability! Tax payer covering the cost of these lazy parasites.

@Peat_Mindset1 @Alexand68647317 @blagden_david There's UK research that supports the premise that migrants on average contribute more than they cost. You can rightly highlight the doctor situation but we'd be stuffed without the overseas nurses/carers.

This is why British forces will have to be bristling with lethality. Anti-ship missiles on every RN warship, every RAF aircraft, plus ground-based launchers. SSKs to pose threat where costly SSNs can’t always be. Air defence and land attack capabilities on everything. 1/3

Within 5 years, the Falkland Islands will face increasing diplomatic pressure. Within 5 to 10 years, the Falkland Islands will face a credible military threat.

@GailH99164549 @Simmons__ You could be 65 (ie be below state pension age), working in a high paid job and still get a good reduction

@Simmons__ People here keep yapping about state pension being a 'benefit', but i don't see it listed here for a reduction

@Peat_Mindset1 @Alexand68647317 @blagden_david Youre desperate when youre using a totally different country to try and prove your point. Are you saying we should deport healthcare staff we recruit from nonEU countries? Where would the NHS be then?
