Europe’s security really has no alternative to the United States. Poland is becoming a regional power in the Baltic area. These are my main takeaways from a conference I was invited to attend in Washington, D.C. — “Poland, Northeastern Europe, and the Future of the Transatlantic Partnership”, organized by the @WarsawFreeInst Warsaw Freedom Institute (a new think tank founded by @IgorJanke ), together with the @AEI Institute, which is a top-tier think tank in the United States. Really good, fresh initiative from WFI. Great to see a new think tank show up and already create a space for high-quality Polish–American dialogue, which is very much needed today. Panels were focused on geopolitics, security, and the role of Central and Northern Europe. Strong presence from the Polish government, including @pawelkowalpl and @radekfogiel, as well as geopolitical world-class experts, representatives from the Atlantic Council working on transatlantic security, and the Ambassador of Norway to the U.S. Had a chance to exchange views 1:1 with @IanBrzezinski, a former U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Europe and NATO policy and a leading expert on transatlantic security, @andrewmichta - a professor of strategic studies and a recognized expert on NATO and European security policy, and Jim Mazurkiewicz - a Professor at Texas A&M University with strong engagement in Polish–American relations. Also had a good discussion with @BogdanKlich, Poland’s Ambassador to the United States. Big congrats to @IgorJanke and Jan Skowronski for putting this together. Hope to see more initiatives like this strengthening the Poland–U.S. bridge.

❗️Świetna wiadomość dla Polski! Komitet Wojskowy @NATO wybrał gen. dyw. Karola Molendę na stanowisko Cyber Champion – doradcy strategicznego dowódcy NATO ds. Transformacji @NATO_ACT. To kluczowa funkcja związana ze wzmacnianiem roli cyberbezpieczeństwa w Sojuszu. Generał Molenda ma wieloletnie doświadczenie strategiczne i operacyjne w obszarze cyber. Jego wybór to potwierdzenie, że kompetencje budowane przez Wojsko Polskie w obszarze transformacji cyfrowej nowoczesnych zdolności są wysoko oceniane w strukturach NATO. Gratuluję Panie Generale 🤝🇵🇱
