VA constitution allows the Virginia Democrats in the legislature and the governor to change the legal age of retirement for the Virginia Supreme Court Justices from 74 to whatever age they want to set.
so the Virginia Democrats if they had the will CAN change the age of retirement to 54 and force all 7 Virginia Supreme Court Justices to retire. Then Democrats in Virginia could then appoint their own justices and this is all perfectly legal and 100% constitutional.
BUT like this afternoon this Democratic State Senate Majority Leader announced he would not do that because he says it's too extreme.

They won't do something because it ia too extreme. But Republicans in Ohio ignored the OH Supreme Court ruling about their Congressional red district map.
In Florida the state constitution requires Statewide vote before they do redistricting. GOP and DeSantis ignored that completely and are in the process of redoing their congressional districts on a whim
Mainstream Democrats are stupid and weak and can fight and to one of the reasons why Democratic turn out remains low.

I’m not mad VA SC overturned the map, it was extremely rushed and bent the law.
I’m mad that we have to play by the rules while the GOP doesn’t. There’s no way the FL SC overturns the FL gerrymander despite the 2010 Amendment.
