Millennia before 'Long Covid' had a name, Chinese physicians described chronic post-infectious illness patterns that look eerily similar. Their work was rich and painstakingly detailed, but never standardized or widely preserved. My book compiles that scattered lineage into a usable modern framework: repeatable treatment heuristics, pattern-based rules of thumb, and practical methods physicians relied on when patients didn’t fit neat categories. acunola.com/product-page/l…

I and hundreds of millions of other adults experienced noticeable changes in our cognitive function since SARS2 infection. Given that, it doesn't seem far-fetched to consider that children - whose brains are still developing - may be affected as well.

New Survey: 50% of kindergarten teachers report their students are having more difficulty using bathroom on their own? Look, schools cannot function if parents don't do even the basic minimum in teaching their own children to toilet independently What a disheartening survey

This is actually how my nutrition teacher ate - fasted during the day, protein at night. It's one way to maximize cycling but is not as easily attainable when you have persistent immune dysregulation.

Evening protein and thiol precursors drives nocturnal glutathione, TH1/17 immunity and proteasome cycle while sparing the daytime oxidative, TH2 and autophagy cycle. Yet, most have been psyoped into believing that morning protein shakes and collagen coffee are healthy.

Obviously, this is a very broad category of disease but what all these illnesses have in common is an immune lesion from which the patient does not recover, the etiology of which is also very broad.

"...high doses of vitamin D3 did not make COVID-19 infections less severe or reduce hospital visits... [but] people who consistently took vitamin D supplements might be slightly less likely to develop long COVID symptoms weeks after infection." KEYWORD: slightly sciencedaily.com/releases/2026/…

Having a mask requirement (for those who are able) has been wonderful for my practice in that I've been able to care for more vulnerable patient populations(and distribute a lot of Auras). I cannot recommend it enough.

Obviously, one can infer some functionality from conventional labs but nothing nearly as complete as research-only assays.

@zagreusrevival The more complete functional assays are research-only but we can always try to infer from other tests like NK cell cytotoxicity assays where available.

Yes, conventional labs measure more than just counts (CRP, antibodies, cytokines, etc.). What they generally don’t capture well is immune function - how cells are actually behaving. For example, you can have normal lymphocyte counts with impaired antigen presentation or T cell exhaustion and no idea. That’s the gap I’m pointing to, especially in conditions like Long Covid and ME/CFS.

@internetuserf12 That is simply not true. Now show me labs that do purely cell counting.

@florian_marty Most conventional labs only count cells. The doctor attempts to infer what those counts might mean but is limited to differentials that rely on quantitative changes.

You know that is exactly what "conventional" labs do. They measure quantitative effects of i.e. perturbations. But maybe I am wrong so please educate me and provide a few links of "conventional" labs that only count cells. The biological challenge with longCOVID and ME/CFS is their complexity and involvement of a plethora of pathways and mechanisms.

We force physiology into categories - immune, nervous, metabolic - in order to learn it but we never unlearn the categories to understand it. 👀

When I recommend minerals, I include both a macro AND a trace mineral supplement. Macros support electrolytes and cellular stability. Trace minerals drive enzymatic processes like redox balance, mitochondrial function, immune signaling. Minerals are the cellular scaffoling and first line of defense from stress in the body. 💫

New research suggests taurine, a naturally occurring amino acid, may help reduce inflammation and metabolic problems in #LongCOVID (PASC). ➡️ Analysis of 27 clinical trials found taurine improved: • Blood sugar control • Cholesterol levels • Inflammatory markers (CRP, IL-6, TNF-α) • Oxidative stress. 1/

Conventional labs have very little sensitivity for the biology that drives Long Covid and ME/CFS, yet doctors use conventional labs to gaslight these patients.
