Lingering pathogens have been a big part of Chinese medicine, documented as early as 2,000 B.C. So much of the medicine operates around the interstices, ecapsulated spaces, and empirical evidence that lingering pathogens are not considered special or even rare.

@internetuserf12 Nobody was "abandoned." Nations spent billions on testing, financial support for those effected by lockdowns, and on developing vaccines. The vulnerable were also given priority in vaccine rollouts.

Collectively abandoning vulnerable people during a pandemic is one of the fastest ways to manufacture consent for the disposability of entire populations. Failing to see that connection is part of the problem.

I’ve noticed more “biohacker” interest in chronic illness spaces lately likely because they are realizing that these conditions force a deeper engagement with physiology than optimization alone.

Offering remote work in 2020 among many other accommodations proved that society CAN accommodate disabled people but simply refuses to.

I chose cordyceps based on it's relative stabilizing nature - it doesn't particularly push in any direction(up, down, exteriorly, etc...) - it just helps fortify yuan Qi to grasp the Qi. Similarly, it has a very balanced immunological profile as well. Sheng Di is more cloying than Shi Hu and harder on the Spleen.

@internetuserf12 Okay, these are exactly the types of questions I was wondering 😊Curious, is the choice of cordyceps based off tcm theory or western med? There’s many herbs that can tonify yuan qi…

I’ve hesitated to talk about APC Restore - it’s expensive and I don’t have much data yet (I will soon). But the reason it exists is simple: Most people don’t stick with long-term protocols when nothing shifts in the first few weeks. So I wanted to see what happens if I supported APC function and mitochondrial/redox pathways in a way that actually changes the early experience enough for people to stick with it. That’s the experiment. Running a small trial now. Will share data when I have it.

@internetuserf12 From personal experience when my immune system was attacking my thyroid I felt EXTREMELY anxious and a psych put me on antipsychotic and ssri without checking my bloodwork. A nurse told me to get my thyroid tested and he was right

Anecdotal, but worth noting: I’ve been observing a case where someone with schizophrenia has had a marked improvement in baseline stability while taking APC Restore experimentally. Too early to draw conclusions, and many variables at play, but it raises interesting questions about immune/metabolic contributions in neuropsychiatric conditions. They say it brings them "back to reality."

@internetuserf12 i suspect a significant proportion, if not a majority, of psychiatric diagnoses are actually auto-immune / neuro-inflammatory / infectious, or neurodegenerative biological disease states. many could be cured or greatly improve if properly diagnosed rather than psychologized.

@internetuserf12 Decades before covid in 2024 I'd been hounded by brain fog and anxiety. Psych meds didn't touch it, but it moderated w/antihistamines. Since covid I've had disassociation, doom, anxiety, brain fog, all of it likely due reactivated EBV/herpes viri....valacyclovir moderates it well

That’s a caption error - it’s spermidine, not spermicide. Spermidine is a polyamine involved in autophagy regulation. You’re right that urolithin A is formulation-dependent - most of the variability comes down to material quality and consistency of exposure, not just inclusion. In this case it’s included as part of a broader metabolic system rather than relying on it as a standalone driver.

@internetuserf12 What’s spermicide targeting? And do you have more details on the urothilin because from what I understand it is very difficult to get in formulations that work/without bio absorption issues

I didn’t discover APC injury - it's a rapidly emerging area of research. What I’ve been trying to do is connect and amplify findings around dendritic cell and monocyte dysfunction across different fields. You see similar patterns in: chronic infections, Long Covid, ME, vaccinology, and cancer. What’s striking is how little this is discussed in a clinical context, despite the concept exploding in the literature. That gap is what I’ve been trying to focus on.

Notably, I’ve included cordyceps to help with what I believe to be a failure to regulate(autonomics, etc…) as a result of source Qi deficiency. I’ve included Huang Qin to mitigate any G/I immunopathology. I switched from Fang Feng to Jing Jie for a slightly more aggressive opening of the pores. Shi Hu instead of Sheng Di for better immune regulation and ease of digestion.

I don’t usually share personal progress (n=1), but I’m returning to full-time work next week - a milestone after ~2 years of LPI treatment and 6 years of Long Covid. To mark it, I’m running a small Neuroimmune Stabilizer/APC Restore trial with HRV tracking. Looking forward to sharing the data.

@ThorHessdalen4 No, I do not personally have access to that kind of testing, unfortunately. I have to treat it theoretically and rely on other outcomes that I can actually measure.

@internetuserf12 Also have you seen first-hand evidence that formulas like Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang & Tian Wang Bu Xin Dan restores APC integrity? If so, what brand was used, and thank you in advance.

I think that the underlying APC dysfunction is what is driving the inflammation/proteostatic conditions that allow amyloid-like clotting to occur including antigen and immune complex persistence/build-up. I do not know if treating APCs will cure all chronic diseases but it really shouldn't be ignored any longer.

@internetuserf12 Very interesting thread, thanks. How do you link The amyloids they are seeing in people, to APC injury. And in your opinion is it one solution if found, that will cure all post-viral chronic diseases like LC and ME/CFS?
