GK-2B #GEMS SO₂ data for the #Ruang #volcanic cloud on April 18. There are some significant data gaps (likely due to clouds or ash) in regions of high SO₂ column amount, but a very preliminary estimate of total SO₂ mass is ~0.3 Tg.

The SO2 plume from the new #eruption of #ruangvolcano is more than 1000 km long. The #Copernicus #Sentinel5p #tropomi detected the sulfur dioxide emissisions on April 18th moving over #Indonesia. #volcano #AirQuality @id_magma @PendakiJakarta @infomitigasi @MikeMasco

Large urban areas are often marred by nitrogen dioxide pollution, caused mainly by traffic and industrial burning of fossil fuels. Data delivered by @CopernicusEU #Sentinel5P have recently enabled scientists to estimate surface-level nitrogen dioxide concentrations in Finland: sentinels.copernicus.eu/fi/web/success…
