Sara Gonzales confronted an H-1B tech worker at his wife's food truck like she caught a criminal. Let me get this straight — this man works a full-time tech job, pays taxes, and his wife started a small business that serves the local community and probably employs Americans. His wife runs it. He helps after his 9-5. He doesn't get paid. Is there a technical gray area in immigration law about helping at a spouse's business? Yes. Immigration lawyers can debate where the line is. But this is an immigrant family creating jobs, serving their neighbors, and contributing to the local economy. This is the American dream in action. And instead of recognizing that, Why should one show up with cameras to turn a hardworking family into rage bait.

In 1984, India's Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her sikh bodyguards . That same year, her son Rajiv Gandhi succeeded her as prime minister. In 1987, Rajiv was attacked while inspecting a guard of honour in Colombo Sri-Lanka in what was seen as an assassination attempt. The assailant sailor was not happy about a deal the Indian prime minister had brokered the previous night between the Sinhalese Majority and Tamil guerillas. Although Rajiv survived this attempt on his life during the inspection of the guard of honour in Sri-Lanka, in 1991 a 22 year old girl who still held a grudge against India's involvement in Sri-Lankan civil war, sailed from Sri-Lanka to India , where she assassinated Rajiv in a plot deviced by the Tamil. Disguised as a civilian, the lady approached Rajiv Gandhi during an election rally with an explosive device hidden under her clothing. She greeted him, then pretended to bend down to touch his feet as a show of respect and detonated a belt laden with explosives. The assassination led to a diplomatic row between India and Sri-Lanka!!!

You are taking Elon Musk up on his product yet you are quiet and surreptitiously endorsing failure at home. You used to be know in the past as a common sense Senator, what happened to you sir? Have you heard of the killings in Jos, epileptic power situation across the nation, more people being impoverished under the man you have endorsed? Why have you been quiet?

.@elonmusk I bought a Model S the first year you released it in California. I believed in what you were building. I got Starlink a few years ago in Nigeria, it was brilliant. Now? It only works between 11pm and 5am. SIX HOURS out of 24. You’ve clearly oversold capacity and overloaded the network. In England, providers stop selling once infrastructure is maxed out. Why is Nigeria different? Because it’s Africa, the rules don’t apply? People here pay FULL PRICE for a service that works 25% of the time. This isn’t innovation. This is exploitation. You took our money, saturated the network, and left us with a glorified paperweight for 18 hours a day. Fix it or say it out loud: Nigerian customers don’t matter to you.

@anyanyakegode @onjolo_kenya They aren't. Sikhism fundamentally rejects the caste system, preaching equality, brotherhood, and the elimination of caste distinctions. That's for the Hindus.

Reporter: The Pope said, "God does not listen to the prayer of those who wage war." Can you comment on that?  Leavitt: Our nation was a nation founded 250 years ago almost on Judeo-Christian values. And we have seen presidents, the leaders of the department of war, and our troops go to prayer during the most turbulent times in our nations history and I don't think there is anything wrong with our military leaders or with the president calling on the American people to pray for our service members overseas. If you talk to many service members, they appreciate the prayers and support from the commander-in-chief and his cabinet.

Europeans have the most sexually dimorphic faces you jealous Korean bіtch. More masculine men and way more feminine White women. A 2021 study shows European countries have the largest male-female face differences compared to Africans who show the least dimorphism. White women get the pronounced femininity while your flat faced race gets plastic surgery to chase it. Cope harder slаnt.

@LeighofLondon @TheHiddenJewell @atrupar I mean, the governing party is supposed to govern irrespective of antagonization from the opposition party. That's why they were elected into government to govern and not to whine about opposition.

@ipn_idoma @TheHiddenJewell @atrupar Yes true, but boths sides do have a part to play, they are antagonising each other, at the expense of people who want to work and pay bills and the public who want to go about their daily lives.

@MercifulNw44299 @HistoryVille It is hard to know where you’re going if you’re afraid of where you came from. No one asked you to judge anyone. If all you take from history is emotion instead of knowledge, that’s on you, not the poster.

@HistoryVille But what reactions do we expect from African people with this kind of information? Should we continue to be stuck in the past perpetually divided, blaming and cursing and hating? I read the post and didn't know how to feel or react.

When the British slave ship, Zong, sailed from Accra with 442 enslaved persons on August 18, 1781, it had taken on more than twice the number that it could safely transport (in order to maximise profit), when it was discovered that the water supply would not be enough. If the enslaved died a natural death, the loss would fall on the owners. But if they were cast into the sea to drown, the loss would be covered by insurance, £30 for each captive lost. And that was what they did. On November 29, 1781, 54 women and children were thrown through cabin windows into the sea. On December 1, 1781, 42 enslaved men were thrown overboard, and 36 more followed in the next few days. Another 10, in a display of defiance at the inhumanity of the slavers, chose to commit suicide by jumping into the sea. Having heard the cries of the victims as they were thrown into the water, one of the captives requested that the remaining Africans be denied all food and drink rather than thrown into the sea. The crew ignored this request. In total, 142 Africans had been killed by the time the ship reached Jamaica on December 22, 1781, with 208 enslaved people on board, less than half the number taken from Accra. Interestingly, the slaveowners got £30 for each slave that was drowned at sea. In January 1782, the survivors were sold into slavery for an average price of £36 per person. Criminal charges were brought against the captain, crew, and owners, but they were unsuccessful. The judge refused to take up the criminal charges, claiming that Africans were goods and property, and that it was madness to accuse "these well-serving honourable men" of murder. "The case is the same as if a wood had been thrown overboard,” the judge ruled. #HistoryVille

In the 1970's, Oklahoma City demolished its entire urban core, leveling over five hundred buildings. In the 1960s–1970s, Oklahoma City undertook one of the most aggressive urban renewal programs in the country, known as the Pei Plan, led by architect I. M. Pei. The city cleared 500+ buildings across roughly 500 acres of downtown in an effort to modernize infrastructure and attract investment. Entire blocks of historic commercial and residential structures were demolished, including landmarks like the Biltmore Hotel, which was imploded in 1977. The strategy anticipated rapid redevelopment, but much of the cleared land remained vacant for years, creating large surface parking lots and underutilized space instead of immediate new construction. By the 1990s, the city shifted direction with the MAPS (Metropolitan Area Projects) initiative, investing in arenas, canals, and public spaces to rebuild the urban core. At one point in the late 1970s, Oklahoma City had one of the highest ratios of parking spaces to people in the U.S., a direct result of the large-scale demolition outpacing redevelopment. © History Pictures #archaeohistories

BREAKING: CBN says money sent from abroad will now be paid in naira, not dollars. So if your family sends you money, you’ll get naira directly. This helps Nigeria control its money better and reduce pressure on the dollar. Good move by Cardoso.

Two German friends came to visit me in Texas over a decade ago. Naturally I took them to the Fort Worth Rodeo. They absolutely LOVED it. The only part that puzzled them was when a cowgirl galloped on horseback around the ring with a Coca Cola flag. They asked, “Isn’t this government funded?” I said “Nope”. That surprised them. They also loved the steakhouses I took them to but I could not get them to order steak properly- they always wanted well-done.

“Let me tell you one bad thing about working in Japan. In Japan you don’t get fired from your place of work, rather you get ostracized. They won’t give you sack letter; they disengage you, they take responsibilities from you. You won’t be assigned any task. If you have a login ID, they will change your password so you can’t access your PC. So you will come to work and be siting around. No one will engage you, but the company will still be paying your salary. If you quit on your own, you won’t be entitled to government unemployment benefits. If you’re sacked, the government will be paying you employment benefits till you get a new job.” — Lady says.

@BROCHSMITH @RadioFreeTom He isn’t. Not even close. Strip away the noise and there’s nothing there. No gravitas, no instinct for power, no sense of history. If anything, his only flirtation with Caesar is in those clumsy, backroom attempts to bend the Republic to his will and even there, he fumbles it.

Trump’s Plan A was to hit Iran hard, watch the theocrats flee, and then hand power to a government of his own choosing. Should such things not come to pass, Plan B was … well, apparently, there was no Plan B. theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/03/…
