President Trump appears to confirm our story this morning, telling countries to “go to the Strait, and just TAKE IT. You’ll have to start learning to fight for yourself, the U.S.A. won’t be there to help you anymore.”

NEW: Trump told aides he’s willing to end the U.S. military campaign against Iran even if the Strait of Hormuz remains largely closed, administration officials said, likely extending Tehran’s firm grip on the waterway and leaving a complex operation to reopen it for a later date.

AP: Officials from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain have conveyed in private conversations that they do not want the military operation to end until there are significant changes in the Iranian leadership or there’s a dramatic shift in Iranian behavior, according to US, Gulf and Israeli officials.

“This is huge… to replace this plane, it costs about $700 million.” @CedricLeighton says the U.S. radar aircraft destroyed by an Iranian strike is “crucial” to military operations.

It is possible that last night’s attack in Isfahan, which President Trump shared on social media, is actually the burial of the enriched uranium deep underground in a way that will prevent the Iranians from accessing it (Ron Ben‑Yishai).

The European benchmark natural gas price (TTF) is today **lower** than four weeks ago. Yup: Lower. (And yes, TTF prices are still up >75% from pre-war levels, but around the same level as they were in Jan-Feb 2025)

@websterkaroon There were rumors in supposedly Army-linked Telegram channels a month or two back that he would be retired soon. I got the sense that he wasn't part of Khamenei's small trusted circle who could be promoted to the top defense jobs.

I don't think I've heard anything public from Admiral Sayyari in the past month. In contrast to the 12 Day War and its aftermath. Has anyone seen any clips or updates about or from him?

Is the USAF/IAF currently operating with Air Supremacy, Air Superiority, or just Air Denial? I'm not entirely sure. Perhaps this photo of an Iranian cabinet meeting inside a decorated bunker might offer some clues.

It is very rare for Saudi to manage political capital on the streets like this. What's interesting here is the lack of anti-UAE sentiment in Taiz. (At least I didn't see it here) IRGC's recent escalations seem to have forced a disciplined script on the anti-Houthi bloc, but what would be interesting to see is if this survives the current regional stress test.

The number of US military personnel in the Middle East is only 20% higher than usual, totaling 50,000. During the invasion of Iraq in 2003, there were 500,000. The plan isn't a large-scale ground war - it's special ops raids: kenklippenstein.com/p/trump-goes-c…
