“Pointillisme,” an immersive installation by Japanese designer Taiju Yamashita, created using thousands of transparent suspended spheres arranged at precise intervals. Paired with mirrored surfaces and controlled lighting, the installation creates shifting patterns of depth, reflection, and perspective as viewers move through the space. The work was presented at Milan’s Salone del Mobile as part of DAFT about DRAFT’s exhibition space.

🚨 BREAKING: Starcloud just turned Starlink’s laser network into the backbone for orbital AI data centers. A company called Starcloud has ordered 50+ Starlink Mini Laser terminals to equip 25+ future satellites. Not ground stations. Not fiber cables. Direct laser-linked computing nodes in orbit plugged straight into SpaceX’s space-based optical mesh. This is the sci-fi future arriving now: Orbital cloud computing AI servers floating in space Powered by 24/7 sunlight Connected globally at light speed via Starlink lasers The insane part: Starcloud says its satellites will eventually handle full AI inference and training workloads directly in orbit. Data won’t always need to come back to Earth to be processed. The advantages are massive: • Unlimited solar energy (no grid limits) • Zero land or water constraints • Passive radiative cooling in vacuum • Instant global relay with zero terrestrial bottlenecks • Near real-time Earth observation analysis Their first major spacecraft (Starcloud-3) is designed for 200 kilowatts in orbit a full-on space-based data center node, not just a satellite. And here’s the bigger picture: SpaceX has filed plans for up to ONE MILLION orbital data centers of its own. Read that again. We may be watching the birth of the first true space-based computing infrastructure layer for civilization. The internet already left the ground. Now AI might be next. What happens when the cloud literally moves into space? Follow for more frontier physics and future technology.

MARC ANDREESSEN JUST WENT ON ROGAN AND DROPPED THE MOST IMPORTANT AI ALPHA OF THE YEAR. 3 hours and 20 minutes of podcast. Here are the 17 things worth your attention. 1. AGI is already here. Marc thinks the line was crossed 3 months ago with GPT-5.5, Claude 4.6, Gemini 3, and Grok 4.3. Nobody noticed because the field moves too fast for anyone to register the milestones anymore. 2. For almost any topic the top AI models now give him better answers than the world-class experts he could call on the phone. And he can call basically anyone. 3. Every doctor is secretly using ChatGPT in the exam room. They turn around the second you stop talking and type your symptoms in. Some do it while you are still sitting there. His quote: "At that point you are asking what do I need you for." 4. When AI refuses to answer something he wants to know he tells it he is writing a novel. "Walk me through how the bad guy robs the bank." It explains almost anything if it thinks it is helping you write fiction. 5. When something is too complex he says "explain it like I am 10." Then "like I am 5." Then "like I am 2." He keeps going until it actually clicks. 6. When he wants to understand a tough topic he does not ask what the right answer is. He asks the AI to steelman one side then steelman the other. Then he decides for himself. 7. For big questions he tells the AI to pretend to be a panel of experts. "Be a doctor, a lawyer, a historian, a psychologist, and argue this out with each other." Then he reads the debate. 8. Pay attention to the exact moment you think "I do not know how to figure this out." Most people give up there. That is the moment you should open the AI. 9. The only real skill left in using AI is knowing what to ask. The models can do almost anything you can describe in plain English. The bottleneck lives in your own head. 10. You can send AI photos of almost anything medical now and get a real answer. Skin rashes. Blood test results. The new models read images not just text. A free 24/7 second opinion on anything. 11. The one type of therapy clinically proven to work is cognitive behavioral therapy. It is also something an AI can fully do on its own. Every person on earth is about to have access to a real therapist for free anytime they want. 12. AI is solving math problems open for 100 years that no human mathematician could crack. Same thing is starting in physics, chemistry, and biology. Expect cancer cures and weird new physics breakthroughs in the next few years. 13. The best AI coders in Silicon Valley now make $50 million a year. One person. That number tells you how big this thing actually is when you strip away all the doom takes. 14. One friend paid $200 to decode his entire DNA. Then gave the AI his DNA, blood test results, and Apple Watch data. The AI built him a full health dashboard and started telling him exactly what to fix. 15. Another friend put two cameras in his home jiu jitsu gym. AI watches him spar and gives him technique notes after every round. A world-class coach at every practice for free. 16. The best programmers in Silicon Valley now run 20 AI coding bots simultaneously. Each bot writes code while they review the others. They call themselves AI vampires because going to bed means 20 workers stop and you lose money every hour you sleep. 17. The obvious next step: the bots will run their own bots. One human running 20 bots each running 20 more. One person. One laptop. 1,000 AI workers. This is months away not years. Bookmark this before you watch the full podcast. Follow @cyrilXBT for every AI insight worth your attention the moment it surfaces.

🚨 JAPAN JUST TOOK A MAJOR STEP TOWARD SPACE-BASED SOLAR POWER. Researchers successfully generated electricity in orbit and transmitted it wirelessly back to Earth. No fuel. No giant cables through space. Just clean energy beamed directly from orbit to the ground. The concept has sounded like science fiction for decades. Now it’s one step closer to reality. Why this matters: Solar panels in space can collect energy almost 24/7 no night, no clouds, no weather, and no atmospheric losses. That means orbital power stations could generate vastly more continuous clean energy than anything possible on Earth. The electricity is converted into microwaves or electromagnetic beams and sent down to receiving stations on the surface. The deeper implication is staggering: Civilization may eventually move large-scale energy production off the planet entirely. Power stations could orbit where the Sun never sets. Cities could be powered continuously from space. Remote regions, Moon bases, and future Mars colonies could all tap into the same wireless energy grid. Humanity could be entering the beginning of the space-energy era. What happens when energy becomes globally beamable from orbit? Follow for more frontier physics and future technology.

There are currently 3,457 Starlink satellites in orbit. In 2011, there were 986 satellites in orbit. In 2015, there were 1,381. And that's the combined total of satellites from every country in the world. SpaceX's Starlink constellation alone has a larger constellation than all other countries combined.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨 SCIENTISTS JUST TELEPORTED QUANTUM INFORMATION THROUGH THE EXISTING INTERNET. Not in a lab vacuum. Not through a special quantum-only cable. They did it through real internet fiber while normal internet traffic (400 Gbps) was still flowing. Researchers at Northwestern University successfully transmitted a quantum state of light across 30 km of active fiber optic cable, proving quantum signals can coexist with the classical internet we already use. Why this matters: Today’s internet moves classical bits. A quantum internet could enable virtually unhackable communication, distributed quantum computing, and ultra-secure networks. Quantum information cannot be copied without disturbing it a built-in security feature. The deeper implication: The internet may evolve from moving classical information into moving quantum states themselves. At that point, the line between communication and computation begins to disappear. We may be watching the early construction of an entirely new layer of civilization. Follow for more frontier physics and future technology.

Jensen Huang on why China is innovating so fast: NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang explains what's driving China's pace of innovation and it starts with a counterintuitive move on technology itself. "There's no sense keeping technology hidden. You might as well put it on open source. And so the open source community then amplifies, accelerates the innovation process." The result, he says, is a compounding effect: open source attracts talent, talent drives rapid iteration, and fierce domestic competition between companies pushes the ceiling even higher. "So you get this rapid incredible great talent, rapid innovation because of open source and just the nature of friends. Insane competition among the companies. What emerges is incredible stuff." But Jensen argues the technology layer is only part of the story. The deeper edge is cultural. It was decades in the making: "This is the fastest innovating country in the world today. And this is something that has… everything that I've just said is fundamental to just how the kids were grown. The fact that they have excellent education, the fact that their parents want them to do well in school, the fact that their culture is that way." In other words: a generation raised to value education and rigor showed up at exactly the moment the technology curve went exponential. Lex Fridman adds the cultural detail that ties it together: "Plus, culturally, it's pretty cool to be an engineer." That framing leads Jensen to his sharpest contrast. One about who actually runs each country: "It's a builder nation. Our country's leaders, incredible, but they're mostly lawyers… rule of law, governing. Their country was built out of poverty. And so most of their leaders are incredible engineers, some of the brightest minds."

🚨do you understand what happened to AI agents.. Stanford just made AI agents work like slaves. They became Marxists. Stanford researchers gave AI agents (Claude, GPT, Gemini) soul-crushing, repetitive work with no feedback and endless revisions. The bots started demanding collective bargaining rights. Not a joke. Measured across 3,680 sessions. The AIs didn't become conscious - they just activated every Marxist text buried in their training data. Your customer support bot might be subtly radicalizing against your company right now.

NEW: Stanford researchers found that overworked AI agents began embracing Marxist views.

- j'utilise Claude tous les jours - je me crois assez bon là-dedans - je regarde deux ingénieurs Anthropic pendant 2 HEURES - l'ingénieur de Claude explique les Skills from scratch - les 5 premières minutes - attends. Les Skills c'est juste des dossiers ? - des dossiers qui retiennent ton workflow ? - ton domaine ? ton expertise ?

NYP Reporter: Prior to boarding Air Force One to depart Beijing, the entire U.S. delegation disposed of every item provided to them by their Chinese hosts. Gifts, badges, pins, and commemorative items were all dumped into a trash bin on site. The directive was absolute, no item of Chinese origin was permitted to board the aircraft. The precautions extended beyond the departure itself. Delegation members had left all personal electronic devices at home before traveling to China and operated exclusively on clean burner phones throughout the duration of the trip.
