I was in the Middle East this week. Here’s why.

The United Kingdom has endlessly appeased the criminal regime in Iran. The Prime Minister speaks of protecting the innocent civilians of Iran but failed to act to help stop the regime’s massacre of 40,000 innocent Iranians in January. Only an end to this regime - that brings terror to Britain’s own shores - will yield lasting peace and regional stability. Keir Starmer should follow in the footsteps of Churchill, not Chamberlain. He should support the Iranian people’s fight for liberty. The Iranian people will remember who stood with them in their hour of need and who stood against them. There is still time for the Government to change course: prosecute the IRGC that slaughters innocents, expel the illegitimate regime's ambassador, and act to support the people of Iran.

If President Trump lets the Iranians charge a toll for ships in the Strait of Hormuz, then every time you fill up your car at the pump, you will put money straight in the pockets of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. This would be a humiliating disaster for the US.

Having a diplomatic end to the war that achieves the United States’ key objectives for Iran is the preferred outcome. I really appreciate the hard work of @POTUS’ negotiating team, which has defined diplomatic breakthroughs that can end this war in a way that prevents Iran from being the largest state sponsor of terrorism, having missiles that terrorize the region and the world, and forever closes a path to a nuclear weapon. However, we must remember who we’re dealing with in Iran: an evil regime that is severely wounded and has cheated at every turn. Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, a scenario that cannot be allowed to occur is that the Iranian regime clung to survival because it acquired control of the strait and blackmailed the world.   It must be clear that when this war is over - either via diplomacy or military action - that control of the Strait of Hormuz does not lie with Iran. As to the highly enriched uranium, it is imperative that not one ounce be allowed to exist in Iran - buried or not. Under President Bush ‘43, the U.S. was allowed to go in and dismantle Libya’s nuclear facilities and enrichment capability, and remove all enriched uranium. This model should be followed in Iran because we cannot allow any highly enriched uranium to remain in the country as it will either be turned into a dirty bomb or could be enriched to weapons grade material in the future. When it comes to Iran and nuclear enrichment deals, they always cheat. President Trump is right to insist that any negotiated deal meets our military and strategic objectives. If Iran balks, he’s right to blow up their crucial infrastructure so they can’t go back to their old ways. This war must end in a fashion — either through diplomacy or military action — that prevents Iran from going back to their old ways. If we achieve this result, there will be a gateway to peace in the Middle East previously unimaginable in its scope. We’re so close to achieving a strategic victory. Let’s finish the job.

So let me get this straight. You support the Khamanei regime that killed 38,000+ protesters and maimed hundreds of thousands more. A regime that has repeatedly called for Death to America and has killed thousands of our servicemen and citizens. One that has taken away women’s rights and freedoms for the Iranian people. And then you call our efforts to destroy the evildoers a catastrophic escalation. You also support those who attack our police force. You take the side of the criminals rather than the victims of violent actors in our city. How is it that you can’t differentiate between good and evil? Why is this so hard for you?

To say I’m disappointed in the joint statement by leaders from France, Germany and the UK regarding Operation Epic Fury is an understatement. It is so sad to see western democracies lose their passion for justice and a sense of right and wrong the further away from their shores the event occurs. Everyone in Europe is rightly impassioned about Russia invading Ukraine. But when it comes to the long suffering people of Iran, Europe has been pathetic. To the leaders of France, Germany and the UK: the Iranian people are not wrong to demand the end to their oppression from the bloodthirsty ayatollah’s regime that has American and European blood on their hands. You collectively are the ones that are wrong by refusing to come to the Iranian people’s aid and adding insult to injury, you’re suggesting we should continue to negotiate with religious Nazis. It is pathetic. How far Western Europe has fallen. To the Iranian people: President Trump heard your cries. Help has arrived in large measure. You can’t make a deal with a regime that lies about its nuclear production, oppresses its people, and spreads terror around the world. Iran can't be trusted.
