not everyone’s ocd compulsions are rooted in reality like this and claiming they are is stigmatising. if i don’t tap the wall 4 times in the correct way it means im not going to have a good day and doing that can last hours. 99% of my compulsions are like this. both are valid

People's characterization of OCD compulsions are "if I don't wash my hands all my family will die" which sounds ridiculous. It's actually "there's a chance I came into contact with e. coli and if I don't wash my hands I will spread it all over the kitchen and my family will die"

i literally missed a flight in 2024 because of this. i set like 5 different alarms and none of them went off bc @Apple has no idea wtf they’re doing. i have used a physical alarm clock since because i have 0 trust in them.
