@quantian1 My hours per semester and my GPA both jumped about 20-25% when I started mixing in a bunch of humanities classes. There's something to be said for a mix.

I went to an engineering school which had almost no liberal arts courses at all- no languages except Chinese, no history outside ROTC, very little philosophy, etc. This was a source of CONSTANT complaints by students, who were such giga STEMlords *I* was like top decile normal.

I rarely if ever see liberal arts students cry about having to take math classes but virtually every engineering student who is going to enter into a six figure career cries because they have to take demanding courses like “How to Read” and “Some Stuff That Happened In The Past”
