In a world where AI can generate near-infinite content, proving accountability becomes critical ☑️ This is where “staked media” (@a16zcrypto) matters: creators economically back their content! Itheum implemented this concept on mainnet over 1.5 years ago - let’s explore how it works 🧵

Trust is breaking. Over 2 years ago, Itheum launched a decentralized system to measure the trustworthiness of creators. We admit it: we were too early. Today, you can't trust what you see, hear, or even who is behind it. Our tech is becoming more relevant but it needs some “fine tuning”.

@AlliumLabs Yes, blockchain data might be all public but it’s hard to “trust” the data.

Stablecoins moved $62 trillion in transfer volume last year, but less than 1% of that was real-world payments. For BCG's work advising some of the world's leading financial institutions, that gap raised a tough question: Where are people and businesses actually using stablecoins, and why? Max Zevin, Managing Director and Partner at BCG, built the data infrastructure and methodology with his team to find out, in partnership with Allium. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺: Blockchain data is technically public, but raw volume mixes trading, algorithmic transfers, and bridging with genuine payments. No one had agreed on how to separate them. As Max put it: "Blockchain data is like looking through many panes of glass. It's very transparent, but only in certain ways." 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵: BCG and Allium built a classification algorithm together, filtering out bots, protocol-level transfers, and multi-hop transactions to get from $62T gross volume down to $350–$550B in real-world payments. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁: A stablecoin payments dashboard now central to BCG's digital assets advisory practice, segmented by use case (B2B, B2C, C2C) and used directly in client engagements and as the basis for published research. This is fascinating technology. Soon, AI will have its own body. And before long, it may have a more capable mind and body than humans. The real question is: how do humans embed objective trust into these machines as guardrails?

Crypto meets robotics. @SuperteamGEO member's @crowdbrainai on building on Solana and becoming the @colosseum grand champion: "When I started at Solana, I knew no one. We became hackathon winners in 2021, and we built one of the biggest gaming projects on Solana ever. You have to manifest it and put the work in, and everything's gonna happen." "Crypto allows you to create network effects and coordinate on a decentralized network. Robotics is missing the human layer. Robotics companies need humans to train robots, control them remotely, and collect real world data. Crowdbrain gives them trained operators and the infrastructure to do that at scale."

AI needs more than intelligence. It needs a transparent, human-controlled, objective trust layer. Without trust, autonomy doesn’t scale.

@ClusterProtocol @depindaddy Maybe it’s fine if organizations own this oil (obtained with consent) - but they need to share back equal value to the data creators (original IP owners). This is how they can rebuild trust (which is at all time low levels)

Who owns the oil of AI? Everyone talks about AI models. Fewer people talk about where the data lives, who controls access to it, and whether it survives long enough to matter. Be ready for Founder’s Cut by @depindaddy, Chief @ClusterProtocol as he sits down with @nanditmehra, Founder @LighthouseWeb3 to discuss all of it. 8th July, 9:30 AM UTC. Live on X.

We cannot consider #AI to be morally neutral. In reality, every technical tool embodies choices and priorities through what it measures, ignores, and optimizes, and how it classifies people and situations. Ethical discernment cannot be limited to asking whether we are using a system for good or bad purposes. It must also examine how that system is designed and what vision of the human person and society is embedded in the data and models that guide it. #MagnificaHumanitas

Itheum launched “Liveliness” nearly two years ago - a smart contract-powered reputation system designed to signal trust in our own data marketplaces. We admit it; we were too early. Today, AI is accelerating the creation of content and data at an exponential rate. As a result, we can no longer simply trust what we see - or who we interact with online. As @a16zcrypto noted: "To safely delegate our economy to machines, trust can no longer rely on manual inspection — trust must be hardcoded into the architecture itself." But before we can build trust into the architecture of machines, we need to answer a more fundamental question: What is objective trust?

Most memory systems were built for a single agent, but the future of AI is teams of agents working together. Once multiple agents enter the loop, memory stops being personal and becomes collective: shared state that lets agents coordinate and build on what the team has learned. Walrus Memory gives multi-agent systems shared memory that persists across agents, sessions, and workflows. walrus.xyz/memory 🦭
