I used Twitter to share cool things I find online. Nowadays I do that more on my Substack. 2x former founder, here for #tpot adjacent content.

@lessin from the biz pov, an infinite patience friend who you *trust* is priceless. lots of biz plays you could run on that. as to your tristan line, so you're saying 'run from tech that is humane', (assuming his moniker is accurate), reads like evil ceo boilerplate :D

Cheap therapy becoming the number one use case for ChatGPT is a big big red old flag.... the infinite patience friend to talk thru your crazy person trauma is not a good business, nor does it expand productivity in any way... almost by definition if Tristan likes it, run.

Tyler is finishing a book, slow to reply
Tinfoil hat theory of the Bay Area’s cultural issues: The problem is the weather. It’s the lack of seasons The seasons naturally dictate a biology-based explore/exploit cycle. In the temperate months, you go outside explore new interests, meet new people, seek new opportunities. In the harsher months, you stay inside to invest in the connections and ventures you already have Under this theory, what kind of culture would you get if the weather was always perfect? You’d get one that is stuck in explore. Ppl would constantly be seeking new options and ideas. This would feel magical to sample but tiresome to live in, as those around you are continuously seeking better jobs, greater resources, and more interesting relationships. You get a culture of flakiness, because commitment is not possible when people are always pursuing a global optimum

i think living in a warehouse is the closest you can get to the ancestral environment in the city. when we're bored we chase each other around, climb up the shelving, or go on the cave roof to bask in the sun. can't do that in a studio apartment

Hi! I'm Nadia and I'm searching for a life partner to start a loving family with 💕 I've made so many incredible friends through twitter connections over my ~2 active years here, so I recently thought, "why not life partner too?" A bit about me: - I just turned 30 - I'm 5' 5.5" tall - I work full-time as an engineer in the medical device industry. Will I do this forever? Not sure! I have my own ambitions but for now I love the stability and work-life balance in life - I'm creatively inclined. Drawing, painting, and writing are some of my passions! - On twitter I come off as sensitive and introverted so one thing that surprises ppl IRL is how social and outgoing I am in person. I balance work, hobby, play, and socializing - I introspect, reflect, and iterate a lot on myself but not at the expense of liking myself and where I'm at too - tbh I'm some odd blend of social, bubbly, friendly, normie to the twitterverse but nerdy to the normieverse - but it works for me and I love allll kinds of ppl!! - ..but I'm introverted (no one believes me) bc I can have a wonderful party in my head while solo-strolling around a city for hours exploring - I don't fit neatly into boxes. (Honestly most ppl don't?) Like you can catch me being chill with friends doing wholesome things looking girly and demure or going to the occasional high-energy music festival dressed like a gothic fairy degenerate (see below) - I value taking care of mental and physical health and living a balanced life - I consider myself spiritual. Advaita Vedanta, non-dual Shaiva/Shakti tantra, and Daoism all resonate with me - I LOL at the meme that says "intelligent, good looking, and emotionally stable...pick two" because then what's the point of working on yourself? I don't think in life that one has to pick only two 🤪 do you? - ppl keep nicely telling me I am more attractive in person than in photos so for this post I said "ok lemme make half of these videos??" IDK how to pose and I get bashful about posing (as you can see below) so just take the damn raw videos y'all LOL Interested, or have a friend who would be? Consider taking or sharing my dating compatibility survey! To save you time, *don't* take the survey in the next post if you: - don't want kids in the next 5 years (I want kids and in 5 years I'd be 35) - are looking for casual fun (I'm a lover girl at heart, I like dating with intention, and I'm looking to find the one) - aren't over your ex or something/aren't actually ready to date (go heal homie! I believe in you) Some other things to be mindful about (strong preferences): - I tend to be attracted to taller men (I'm nearly 5'6" and tend to strongly, strongly prefer 5'10" or taller) BUT I could be open-minded if a lot of other things about you check out - I'm physically fit/lift, take care of my brain and body, and I prefer the same in a partner - I prefer my male partner to be older than me, so strong preference for those born 1994 or earlier (I'm 1995) BUT I could be open-minded to a couple of years younger - if I cloned my financial situation into another person, we could comfortably afford a house and kids tomorrow (not that kids are coming tomorrow..hell no LOL) but ask yourself if you can meet or exceed that financial standard :) - I get along with both spiritual and non-spiritual ppl but for life partners I might go best w someone who believes that *something* is there! Open-minded about this for now though (Also thank you to my friends Kat and Christine for being my hypewomen in one of these videos 😂 I was getting self-conscious about posing in 40°F without layers) Thanks for reading, kings (and queens)! This image was all over my feeds yesterday. I added the red line to it. We don't magically wake up to being high agency sages. Most of us follow a predictable developmental pattern that I've seen time and time again, including in my own life. We start out seeking to become high agency because we think that's going to get us what we want. As the ego develops, we begin to create more agency in our lives through confidence, willpower, and personal responsibility. At a certain point in our development, this stops working. Usually something life altering happening that breaks our paradigm. Only through trial, are we forced to deeply examine our lives. Through this process often must face the source of our drive and ambition. This often sends us into a period of disillusionment with the previous paradigm where we were obsessed with being high agency. For example, when I realized my obsession with achievement was driven by unconscious low-self esteem, achievement became less interesting for awhile. I don't think the word "spiritual bypassing" that's used in this chart is the right one, but generally the deconstruction of the previous paradigm leaves a lack of interest in your old ways in its wake. This is a predictable development before a deeper integration that transcends and includes the previous high agency paradigm. After hanging out in "nothing is interesting besides consciousness land," previous high agency folks start to recognize that they are holding a false polarity between wisdom and effectiveness. The answer isn't one or the other. It's about learning to apply your agency from a place of wisdom. Integrating these two aspects of life so you can hold both simultaneously takes time. You must unwind many of the consciousness patterns that create artificial barriers between continuing to work on your consciousness AND being an effective person in the world. Over time it gets easier and a beautiful synergistic loop emerges. Your consciousness work informs greater agency, and taking action supports continued consciousness development. Sharing this for fellow travelers on this windy road. It's not a straight line, but its worth it! Shoutout to @peternlimberg for creating this image and @tomowenmorgan for getting it on my radar!
