SNM (Sayidunaa Nabiyunaa Mohammed) In the shadowed dawn of 6th April 1981, amid the gathering storms of repression and unyielding injustice, a clarion call echoed across the land: the birth of the Somali National Movement (SNM). It was no mere reaction to tyranny, but a profound awakening—a sacred pledge for dignity, ending the annexation and Isaaq genocide, and the unbreakable spirit of a people. Today, on this poignant 45th anniversary, we do not merely commemorate a chapter of history. We exalt a living legacy that forges Somaliland’s soul: its unyielding resilience, its democratic heartbeat, and its vision of harmony amid adversity. The SNM transcended the clamor of armed resistance. It wove a tapestry of national unity, rallying clans, communities, and kin from every corner of Somaliland and its far-flung diaspora. Warriors on the frontlines stood shoulder-to-shoulder with civilians who kindled global advocacy through diplomacy and unwavering resolve. This symphony of valor and wisdom bestowed upon the movement an unassailable strength and moral authority. At its core burned a leadership ethos as radiant as it was rare: one forged in the fires of consultation, tempered by accountability, and elevated through collective wisdom. Decisions emerged not from decree, but from the sacred forge of consensus—planting the seeds of democracy that would blossom into Somaliland’s proud governance today. Yet the SNM’s greatest triumph unfolds not in the echoes of victory, but in the dawn that followed. While shadows of chaos engulfed sister nations in post-conflict turmoil, Somaliland charted a luminous path: one of profound reconciliation, steadfast institution-building, and the quiet miracle of peace. Here, the rule of law took root, and power passed gracefully through the sacred ballot—testaments to a people’s genius for renewal. This is the SNM’s immortal gift: a movement that shattered chains of oppression, only to architect a stable, democratic haven where justice and unity prevail. As Somaliland stands tall on the world stage, navigating intricate regional tides with poise and purpose, the SNM’s timeless values—unity, resilience, accountable stewardship—shine as our guiding stars, as vital in 2026 as in that fateful spring of 1981. On this hallowed day, we bow in profound reverence to the martyrs whose blood watered the tree of freedom. Their sacrifices whisper eternal lessons of courage and hope. May Allah envelop them in boundless mercy and grant them the loftiest gardens of Jannah. Aamiin. THEN WE FORGOT THE LESSON. Victory breeds temptation; Success breeds arrogance; and Miracles become museums when we stop fighting. The second liberation “The Era of Rebirth” is a WAR Against decay we pretend doesn't exist. Against silence we call maturity. Against moral surrender we call stability. AL-ICTISAAM - Religious manipulators wear Arab robes; Economic oligarchs wear suits of stolen power; Fabricated elders (Neo_Sultana) wear cloaks of purchased tradition. They feast while the republic weakens. Daylight predators because good people sleep.

Its an easy fix.. - Get rid of Xeer 12. (xeerka cashuuraha) must be dismantled, and eastern regions use their own tax money to provide services there. - Open more ports east, across Saahil, all the way to Maydh. - More businesses should be diverted through these ports. - The govt has to relocate half of its ministry departments to the eastern regions so ppl there can also have access to jobs in the gov. - Get rid of red zone.. it must be lifted asap.

I don't think people in #Somaliland, understand how severe this drought is & how bad it's going to get! It is predicted to be worse than the 2011 drought. This draught is *already* drying out boreholes, destroying livestock & etc…

I had the honour of sharing an official dinner in Dubai with HRH Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, brother of HM King Charles III, and Sir Gavin Williamson MP, a close friend of the Republic of Somaliland. Our engagement reaffirmed the historic ties, mutual respect, and strong cooperation between the Republic of Somaliland and the United Kingdom, as well as our shared commitment to peace, security, development, and international partnership. The Republic of Somaliland remains steadfast in its commitment to diplomacy grounded in constructive dialogue, peaceful coexistence, democracy, and enhanced global cooperation.

there is a common Hebrew word "haver" (חבר), pronounced roughly like "kha-ver" or "ha-ber," which means "friend," "companion," or "associate." This term appears in biblical and modern Hebrew contexts, often denoting a close ally or colleague. What do you make of this?🤔

🚨 BREAKING: Somaliland, Israel to Sign Partnership Agreement Focused on Energy and Marine Sectors Somaliland and Israel are moving toward signing a formal partnership agreement, with cooperation expected to focus on oil and gas, marine resources, and minerals, President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Irro) said on Monday. Speaking to Reuters, President Irro said both sides expect the agreement to be concluded soon, following Israel’s historic recognition of the Republic of Somaliland last year. The partnership is expected to open the door for Israeli investment and advanced technology, particularly in energy exploration, maritime industries, fisheries, and resource development, while Somaliland offers significant untapped potential across oil, gas and critical minerals. “At the moment there is no trade or investment, but we are confident this will change,” Irro said, adding that Somaliland is seeking Israeli technology, expertise and private sector engagement as part of the deal. Israel’s recognition has accelerated diplomatic and economic engagement, with President Irro expected to visit Israel for further talks aimed at formalising cooperation.
